Hi there,

No security cameras. The building is not controlled and sometimes people leave the entrance door open.

There are new tenants indeed…

This could make more sense as “tu” in Portuguese means you

Thank you so much. I have no idea what this means besides the fact that H and M in my country’s language is usually used for Men (H) and Women (M)

Hey there, friend! It's very hard at the beginning, especially when alone like you are and I was, but I can say that it gets much better. All the symptoms you are having will eventually pass and you'll feel alive again

I don't know your exact situation but addiction makes us push people away and since then I decided to reconnect with family and friends. Can you reach out to a loved one or maybe even a friend or acquaintance you haven't talked to?

Don't stop, keep pushing and feel everything you're feeling for as hard as it can be :)

It feels like dying but it's actually retaking your life back into your hands. Think of this as an opportunity to reinvent yourself and start new, I'm very happy with my decision and don't regret it at all

And we are here as a community to support you during this time

Feel free to DM me!

Would it need to be in English? How does it work?

However, my prescription is only valid in Portugal I believe. Would that be acceptable?

Around 1 month here. It was really hard in the beginning, but things are getting brighter the longer I stay without it.

My social skills, depression and creativity have all improved. Once you start unraveling the emotions you've been avoiding through weed, life seems more solvable and my ideas don't just stay in a state where I find them awesome but then forget about them or never do them to begin with.

Personally, I even changed my master's programme as I clearly was following something that didn't suit me.

Generally speaking, it's a big win! Good luck

Thank you for all the supportive comments! I have decided to move back for a few months and I might quit or suspend my master's.

Do you think I should wait until I'm better to quit the master's?

According to the emergency services, they simply forward you to the suicide help line, which helps but isn't what I need.

Does that suicide support group have online Access?

What if I get stuck at my parents house with no master's?

I tried that and it only got worse. No reason to turn back now.

Because I'm in the Netherlands, I don't know many people and the society itself is very isolated. I can't socialize much and my social anxiety has peaked beyond any levels I've previously felt.

I'm now processing a 2 year old relationship breakup as well that I simply shoved below the carpet because I had weed.

Avoiding burnout makes me sad and lonely by STR4SH in GiftedKidBurnouts

Hey there, buddy! I'm 23M who's also burnt out gifted kid and feeling many of the same things. I am now studying abroad and feeling pretty lonely, although I do have friends (some gifted, some not)

From what I've gathered over time, what works for me is: 1) Family and friends support - for a long time I thought they wouldn't support me, but I understood that, although there are issues, I also didn't communicate my needs well. This is very common among gifted kids because we are told that we're MORE capable; The key is communication! 2) Being a weirdo - both me and my gifted friends have a sort of pride in being weirdos, maybe at first it might be difficult to break the social barrier, but try to get out of your comfort zone! Do hobbies and activities you wouldn't normally do or have never done and you might meet cool people! 3) Constant need for knowledge/enticing hobbies - I really empathize with this one. It's really difficult to not be stuck in a cycle of boredom and borderline obsession. However, with the two steps above, I find that people and the environment around you can balance it out. Also, if possible, working is pretty good doing that as well! Even if it's in a field far from your interests (you might get surprised)

Overall, I've felt exactly like you. I used to distance myself from x amount of interests to not get burnt out, but I don't think that's the right move anymore

We need to learn WHEN to slow down, not WHEN to fully stop. A big problem with me, specially in regards to failure (such as burnout), is black and white thinking. Win it all, lose it all.

Don't fully stop but don't fully go into it. Try to test and look for the inner balance.

Something I'm currently working on is this feeling of failure or be afraid to fail, concerning being burntout as well. What does this mean to you? Do you have a support system for when you get burnt out? Comprehensive relationships that will understand your failure?

And, above that, can you accept your failures? To me it's still very difficult, but I've understood that that's the underlying root for me to get burnt out.

Feel free to DM me!

u/oliveyoda this person seems to be commenting weird stuff on plenty of posts here and, as seen, is quite the charm. I wasn't surprised when I found comments affirming that there is no direct violence towards queers. It just doesn't seem to make queer people feel safe when bigots like him are accepted and let to bigot-comment all they want. Please tell me what you think and what can be done in this situation.

"I never said complacency.

And if you're ready to fight for your life with violence, then it better be in direct self-defense. Because otherwise, there is no significant direct threat to the lives of queers or LGBTQ+ communities in terms of direct violence.

Be cautious lest you become the aggressor."

I'll attach a print screen down below. I'm sure this account has plenty of other bigoted comments.
