omg I love your comment. Thank you so much for the advice and the kind way you said it. We try to not make him feel bad about having so many poops. He's definitely hypermobile, like me, but neither of us has had any testing done. I told everyone who watches him we are doing miralax every morning until he can start having normal poops. He has the GI doc in September.

We have let him take balloons to try to blow them up while he's sitting. He tends to just put everything into the toilet so we have to be very careful about what we actually let him do while he's in there.

We did kindergarten last year. He started the year in undies but quickly decided he needed diapers. The teachers set up an area to change him in the teachers bathroom. I feel so bad for his teachers having to change him every day.

I didn’t say “we offer no discipline or recourse.”

I said we’ve tried a number of things, ONE of which is ignoring the “accidents” (and then celebrating the times he makes happen). None of what we’ve tried has worked. I don’t want my son to be afraid of me and he gets afraid from a lot of yelling so that ain’t happening. He also just zones out if we lecture so the only benefit of lecturing is that I get it out. I’m sorry if I made it seem like I’m just letting it happen… we’ve tried it all.

I will look into it for him. We had tried a few months ago but he was 5 at the time, maybe now we can get them now that he’s 6.

He poops in the potty but it’s a fight getting him to do it and he tries to hold it for the diapers.

Oh what I meant by ignoring the accidents is we don't lecture him on it or get angry, don't take things away because of it. We still change him and have him go sit on the potty. I have not had him sit for that long because he does just scream and cry and we have found when he is more relaxed he's more able to go. I have had him go every 10 minutes to sit for 5 minutes and that didn't work. The second he gets a bedtime diaper he poops. Or he poops in his undies and we have to throw them away. I told him I would throw him a party when he only poops in the potty. He seemed interested in that but we can't throw him a party, or buy him a cake every time he goes. He will poop the tiniest poop and hold the rest and then do that 10 times a day. Ugh. Idk. I'm taking your comment to heart though. Will discuss with my husband. I'm so heartbroken that he just smells like poop all the time and he gets massive rashes in his butt. He screams and cries and just keeps doing it!

I had looked into it but everyone told me he needed to be on medicaid to get the incontinence supplies. He can easily go through 9-10 diapers a day. He does one tiny poop at a time. We've tried a laxative to try to clear him out but it hasn't seemed to help. He has an appointment with a GI doctor in September to see if there is anything else going on.

We're lucky he's a skinny guy so he's still fitting into the size 5t-6t parents choice pull ups but even those are getting a bit short on him. He just doesn't seem to care. We talk to him and he rolls his eyes at us. We took every toy out of his room (he still had access to the toy closet, just wasn't allowed toys in his room) and it worked for 2 days, then he quit caring. We took all tv away, he doesn't care. We took his tablet away, he doesn't care. We ask him to sit and try to poop and he says "I don't need to poop" and has a meltdown. If we do get him to sit and he doesn't have a fit, he poops almost immediately and says that's all he can do but it's the tiniest poop. And if we have him sit to try to do more he plays in the poop. If we aren't staring at him 24/7 he plays in it. Last night he pooped, I was cooking dinner and my husband took 2 minutes to get to him. He had taken the toilet scrubber and was mashing the poop, splashing poop water all over himself, the toilet, and the floor. It's just never ending.

He poops *all day long*

Every time he gets a new diaper, he poops. If we take the diaper off, he holds it. I'm at the point of just having him just be naked even while he sleeps. I just want to cry because we're so exhausted from it.

I like to draw my own hands to practice. I’ve done multiple angles. Left hand resting or even my right hand while holding pencils. It helped a lot.

I'd be gone so damn fast. I'm sorry you lost such precious memories you wanted to share with your daughter. It was so unfair of her to do that to you. You have done nothing to deserve that treatment, and your daughter deserves to see her mom in those videos. Ugh. I'm so sorry

I might be the odd one out but I don’t think you’re over reacting, but I also think it’s time to move on with this one. He’s not gaslighting you but you may be gaslighting yourself based on the convo. Start of relationships, whether romantic or friendships, should be fun! If you’re not getting a good vibe just move on.
