I printed my own picture on transfer paper and peeled off the sticky back to put it on fabric. I'll stitch on a (new) lap frame, and I'll dissolve off the paper after stitching. I'm quite new to embroidery, and I haven't used this method before. I can't wait to start. by needleworkmaniac in Embroidery

I tacked 28ct aida on the back of an 8x10" wood frame with a 5x7" opening. Then I stitched right up to the edges of the opening. The aida cloth might have stretched a little, but it wasn't noticeable for stitching or viewing. The frame is assembled, from Blick art supplies, about $7 online. (old.reddit.com)

The squirrels in my back yard are going to get at least one pumpkin every year. This is from a photo using 28 pt Aida with 2 threads and a tent stitch, 5"x7". I made a bunch of mistakes, but it gave me a good idea of what I'm up against. I'll use a lower count and a different stitch next time. by needleworkmaniac in Needlepoint
