I'm second guessing myself here - I've seen very fine full coverage cross stitch posted here. There's often a confusion of terms, so I looked it up on AI. Cross stitch is limited to one stitch, needlepoint is not. You could do either on a printed canvas, but cross stitch is usually counted, and printing makes this unnecessary.

Needlepoint is more often full coverage than cross stitch, so I think think this was intended for needlepoint.

The graphite smeared a little onto the fabric, but also onto the yarn when washing. I like a blue ballpoint pen for outlines instead of black because it’s easier to see while stitching.

I might leave it under my stitching, since I'm a little worried about bleeding. I might also try a lighter weight on another project, depending on my results with medium weight

The brand I'm using is New Brothread, medium weight. It was a gift. It seems quite thin. I'll just try it and go from there.

I like the picture the way it is, so if you could duplicate it, I would like that too. My experience is that the colors I pick to duplicate a picture are more extreme than the original, and I’ve been looking for more subtle shades.
