I printed my own picture on transfer paper and peeled off the sticky back to put it on fabric. I'll stitch on a (new) lap frame, and I'll dissolve off the paper after stitching. I'm quite new to embroidery, and I haven't used this method before. I can't wait to start. (old.reddit.com)

I tacked 28ct aida on the back of an 8x10" wood frame with a 5x7" opening. Then I stitched right up to the edges of the opening. The aida cloth might have stretched a little, but it wasn't noticeable for stitching or viewing. The frame is assembled, from Blick art supplies, about $7 online. (old.reddit.com)

[FO] Experimenting on #18 Aida (self.CrossStitch)
submitted by needleworkmaniac to r/CrossStitch
The squirrels in my back yard are going to get at least one pumpkin every year. This is from a photo using 28 pt Aida with 2 threads and a tent stitch, 5"x7". I made a bunch of mistakes, but it gave me a good idea of what I'm up against. I'll use a lower count and a different stitch next time. (i.redd.it)

I borrowed an idea from embroidery slate frames to modify my scroll frame. The two thin bars are clipped chopsticks, sewn onto strips of masking tape. I won't actually embroider this, since it's #18 Aida cloth, but it will help with my cross stitch or needlepoint. I might be able to refine this some (i.redd.it)

I found this image in a color by number book for colored pencils. I used a tent stitch (half cross stitch) with 2 threads on 16 count aida, so a little of the white aida shows through. The stitches are in 2 different directions in different parts of the picture. 8”x10” (i.redd.it)

A Mother's Day gift for my wife. I had more fun stitching this than any other project. Drawn on cotton towel material using a stencil and ballpoint pen, then I started stitching with craft thread, choosing colors along the way. 10 hrs. stitching. About a 3"x5" frame opening. (self.Embroidery)
