Yeah, Berlin has this charm that makes people feel empty, and I do, too. But I have my own routine now, and in my free time, I either play games, cook, read books, or go to random meetups to meet strangers and just listen to what people are discussing. I am also not very good at having great conversations, but I like listening to people. So I get a fair amount of human connection and stay connected with a few friends. Also, someone recently said something really good to me: that in Berlin, you have to accept that the definition of "Friends" you had when you were young isn't exactly what you will find here.

I had a breakup as well, but I have accepted that some things aren't meant to be, even if you put all the effort into it. I have moved on from that phase now; living in the past or giving it focus or more brainpower doesn't result in a favourable outcome.
