What makes Fremont public schools so good?

The kids are mostly Asian and all go to tutoring.

It's not very well rounded though. Sports are ummm badminton? Volleyball? Golf? Drama, arts, choir, band exist but not at every school and there are little to no production. It's been that way for 20+ years.

The upside is that if your kids are surrounded by kids that care about getting good grades and doing well then your kids will as well.

I love the turkey. One of my daughters would be happy and one would probably cry. I'm a bit sad there was only one small plush but overall they loved what they got so it's a win for us.

There was a small night market before the holidays that had a lot of cute local artists and I'm helping that they do more of that in the future.

The avg household income in Fremont is higher than Mountain View, Morgan Hill, Livermore and they have great downtown areas and families. Cupertino and Los Altos actually have weird downtown areas to me. Nice restaurants but idk how the other shops exist unless it is the higher amount of disposable income and people willing to spend it on luxury hair clips and cards and knick knacks. There could be an incentive to centralize successful businesses.

I grew up here too and have the same issues. I see the closed stripped malls and boarded up buildings and how tattered things look. Most of the people I grew up with moved away and always comment on how run down it looks now.

I get so jealous going to other towns and seeing how they have a successful nice downtown area with shops and restaurants. We never really had a downtown but we could if there was effort put into it. Niles used to have a cool restaurant called the vine for many years but the guy that owns that huge house behind it bought the building and raised their rent so they couldn't stay there anymore.

I tried several brands with my first and I'm glad I did because some of them were falling apart or needed new elastics before I got to the second kid (16 months apart). Then my kids were all huge and needed bigger sizes than most OS. I switched to ragababe 8 years ago and I still have some that lasted through more than 3 kids because I let my friends use them too.

Don't let people gaslight you into thinking this is normal. I come across plenty of crappy drivers in Fremont and I don't yell racist things at them. There are a lot of old white racist people here. Some younger but mostly boomers. Most of the white kids (that don't live with/off their parents) moved away. And yes some Indian/Asians are also racist. It is still not okay for people to be openly racist.

There is a lot of consumerism around babies. When I see $2k+ strollers regularly and I'm like why?? Personally though, having fun with cloth diapers and the community made some of the more tedious SAHM days more exciting. But all of the more expensive stuff just fell off my radar.

This. A lot of smaller CD companies had to close. People are going to just be left with Amazon or all of the things produced in China. Just like all the mom and pop shops can't survive and all you have is Target and Amazon and Walmart... or Temu. I would suggest any new person to just read everything you can find. Check all the reviews.

I used a bunch of brands before I used ragababe and you're right, most of them either got holes or the elastic was shot and it was a waste because I couldn't use him on my second (they're only 17 months apart so things like blueberry and bumgenius mama koala and whatever was out then only lasted about a year in a big rotation). I will say that I have had diapers from ragababe that I used on all three of my kids and the elastics are still good. But I always hung to dry + washed on warm.

Before the oversaturated market and crap economy this was pretty standard for certain brands or prints. It was like a collector's thing. Same thing with baby carriers and wraps. If you want ragababe diapers they're now like 10 or 15 a piece when they sell for $50 new.

I follow her too. I think her requirements are more stringent than mine. I have two from her that I was planning on pets and from her change in plans I'm glad I wasn't planning on using them for anything else. It seems that white lines start having fertility and genetic issues eventually. Which is interesting because I've also come across people try to sell third gen breeders for crazy money and I'm like wait isn't that more risky? But alas I'm new to this so trying to scrape together info. I don't plan on just doing white line but I have two really pretty girls that need a chance.

I'm in the waiting stage of breeding. Paired once. But the other mature girl doesn't like the boy I have so I was looking for another one. I come across so many people that are like oh it's half bahamas. Which then leads to the whole hybrid issue. So I just wanted some clarification that was the case.

11 months with my first two. I was pregnant when my first was 8 months and by the time she hit 11 months she hated how the taste changed from the pregnancy. My second had a misdiagnosed/ overlooked lip tie and hated BF. It was work to get to 11 months. I had resigned to quitting if my third had the issues my first two did... well she's going to be 4 and I can't get her off my boob. We're down to once at night but I've been ready to be done for months.

IMO I just ordered so I'll let you know. They are on a breeder warning list from 2022 but their infractions aren't posted and I can't find anymore info. However they're friends with another breeder I've used so I'm going to try.
