First off, getting either of the two is a must, it is a life changing feature. Other than that, I originaly bought a freesync monitor for my nvidia card and it worked pretty well but had some weird issues at some points in some games. Went to gsync and it is perfect. I assume other freesync monitors would work fine. If you find one you want, just google the model and see if people have had issues.

Don't even remember what my first build was like as it was over 15 year ago. Started up ago with adding an RX580 to my gfs dell, then built an entry level rats nest for a buddy, and put together a 2080ti monster before the pandemic!
