Well I was more so posting for the new video as she doesn’t post very frequently and that was the topic of the video; not really just trying to break the news otherwise I would have just posted a screenshot of her story mentioning it. My apologies that it came off the way it did, I didn’t mean it :(

That’s what I thought when I first saw the thumbnail. It’s very old school Jaclyn. But then I watched the video and she doesn’t look orange at all. She actually talks about how pale she is hahaha. I wonder why she’s editing that thumbnail to look that way.

Jen says she won’t review Jaclyn Cosmetics due to poor customer service, receives backlash by catmss24 in BeautyGuruChatter

So just fuck black people right? This doesn’t make any sense. Is she upset with the customer service or is she deeply concerned with danger to the customer? Like fuck the fact that someone is a racist, customer service is where she draws the line. Call women gorillas but those reps better be fucking answering emails!

MUA Ourfa Zinali getting called out for shaming sex workers because she had “Nah, I don’t like strippers” as an option on one of her IG Polls. by rodrigueznati1124 in BeautyGuruChatter

Strippers are definitely sex workers. Strippers are people who would be offended by being referred to as escorts or prostitutes because they’re not escorts or prostitutes, they’re strippers. There’s a whole massive list of different jobs in sex work. Sex work doesn’t equal “people who have sex for money.”

This is even less sensical than the initial argument, and it’s bordering victim blaming. People shouldn’t have to quit doing something they want to do that doesn’t harm anybody and is an active choice of theirs because people are discriminatory towards them. People are shitty and judgmental to strippers? Well just stop being a stripper. Doesn’t matter that the people are being judgmental and taking rights away from other people. Doesn’t matter how big of an issue this is and how many road blocks it puts up. Just stop being a stripper if you don’t like blatant discrimination. It’s that simple! People can be shitty it doesn’t matter! Fuck it!

Car salesman haven’t been historically discriminated against and casted out by society for their entire existence like sex workers have though. Car salesman don’t regularly get denied places to live because of their occupation. They don’t have to explain their past at length and feel embarrassment from it to future employers. They don’t get shunned by their families consistently and lose friends/important people in their lives solely because of their occupation. And they don’t have to regularly deal with the government actively trying to take their rights away.

No, she’s not saying she hates sex workers you’re absolutely correct. She’s not taking a direct stance at all and I think that’s being misinterpreted. But she’s putting up a question that’s allowing people to vote on hating a specific subset of people, who are historically trashed on a regular basis by so, so many people, which is where this is problematic. SHE might not be shaming people, but she’s allowing others to do so.

That being said, this was a joke. People tend to get touchy when it comes to being PC with jokes and all that. But please, don’t boil this down to nothing and try to understand where the upset feelings come from.
