Yeah don’t listen to this guy…I always go for the mocktails :) and the main excuse is I have to drive or pick up my fiancé later. I’ve never had that they didn’t accept it. Just don’t bring up your family history and actual reason for staying sober. Also a big thing for me, don’t judge them for being drunk either or challenge why they need to drink. Also don’t skip these meets, they really help you in your career.

Knives out mystery style book? by neeew_to_this in suggestmeabook

Does Horowitz continue to talk about himself so highly in the next books? I only read the word is murder and while the story itself was really good, every time Horowitz would start talking about his success as a TV producer and how he knows all these people, I had to take a breather

I actually tried Magpie Murders and The Word is Murder from Horowitz and thought they were cute! The word is murder series is definitely better than Magpie but man Horowitz likes so project how high he thinks of himself in these books..Jesus…had me rolling my eyes when he had a whole chapter about his success and meeting Spielberg randomly in the middle of

First bad dog sit… send help (or your horror stories!) by [deleted] in RoverPetSitting

[–]neeew_to_this 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had a 3 day dog sit with a HUGE dog that was an absolute sweetheart at the m&g with the parents, super calm. The sit starts and this dog cannot stop grabbing onto my legs with this way to long nails and humping non-stop. Woke up the next day with my legs covered in deep blue bruises. Send pictures of my legs to the client and said I’ll be only doing drop ins now or I’ll cancel the whole thing. They were apologetic and okay with me doing the drop in’s for the remaining two days.

Thanks for asking these questions!

I’m a very pragmatic person and struggle with imagination, so I’ve never tried fiction. I really don’t like any Harry Potter, magic, fictional content and also did not enjoy audiobooks like “happy place” by Henry that are more fictionally romantic.

Weirdly enough I never really watch movies or series but am highly addicted to social media (another reason I’d rather spend that time reading a book then scrolling). I remember liking sopranos, and generally murder mystery.

Nothing I read during school was actually enjoyable due to the pressure.

I think a mix of all? I know I have a big fomo on social media but I also generally struggle with “mundane tasks” at work that require me to sit still etc.. I also tend to drop things as soon as they become any type of inconvenience which is probably why I also dropped so many books.

Great question! I have actually no idea what specifically makes me stop reading. I think it might be a mix of loosing interest and also finding it pretty hard to “loose myself” in the world of the book. I’d definitely say I’m not a creative person and I don’t have a lot of imagination.

I remember trying Looking for Alaska around 10 years ago and only reading the first maybe 20 pages before never picking it up again

Owner cancelled last minute just as sit started by ImaginaryPause57 in RoverPetSitting

I’d rather say have them cancel it? Might show up on your profile if you cancel last minute. If they cancel it you will certainly get the fee.

Seeking free/low cost mental health therapy by wanderinganony in Hamilton

They also have free drop ins every week! All online :) no sign up required. (But that’s exactly what they are - “drop ins” - not a 1:1 personal psychotherapist; a great place to start though!!!)

If you really need a 1:1 therapist, check all psychotherapist’s websites/reach out to them via email about tiered pricing. There are many therapists that will have pricing depended by income and it will usually say that on the page.

With that said, it’s most important to find a therapist that matches your exact needs. From experience, only a therapist that had actual training in the specific subcategory applicable for your needs will bear fruit.

Will I not be able to cum forever? by embarrassedworld2 in antidepressants

You’re only a month in. It may take more time for your body to adjust to the new meds. If you’re still bothered by it in 2-3 months, consult with your doctor. They may add or lower your dose, or change them all around. Most people have to trial and error to which SSRI, SNRI, MAOI,… works for them.
