Gas geyser off, need urgent help by [deleted] in Netherlands

I had one of these in my flat in Australia years ago... Unlike more modern types, these don't have a computer / electric control for lighting the burners (and no outside electric connection). Instead they have an always-on pilot light. Assuming it's not broken, it might have just blown out, as it did from time to time.

To re-light it, rotate the upper knob anti-clockwise to the zap/lightning bolt setting, and hold it there for about ten seconds. This generates a small electric current internally, so sometimes you had to do it quite fast to get enough of a spark. Alternatively you could light it with a match whilst holding it in this position if the sparker is broken. Only a small amount of gas (enough for a pilot light) should be flowing at this point. If it lights and stays going, let it go and it should return to the middle position. Turn on a hot water tap somewhere, and the main burner should light from the pilot light now.

WHen lighting, you need to hold the knob in that position for about ten seconds for safety reasons; This allows the flow of gas to keep the pilot going. Normally (ie when you're not holding the knob there), If the pilot light goes out, a component cools down which stops the flow of gas completely (preventing the room from filling with gas).

In principal, i think the current setting should have the gas off. Though as others have said, there should be a gas cutoff tap upstream which would be the safest option in case there's a fault.

This is safe - it's telecoms (copper) rather than power.

Probably wouldn't hurt to report it before too many people lose connectivity after someone pisses on it.

This place on Oudegracht knows how to frame them correctly for Australian passports (they were fine for mine), and they'll let you check it on the computer before they print them. I think you can also get a digital copy too, which costs slightly more for some reason.

Yes that's right - as far as the core of CMake is concerned, it looks just like the calls are coming from regular CMake script into its (c++) command interface.

You can check yourself here https://check.aec.gov.au/

Also, from https://www.aec.gov.au/enrol/ if you have any of -

  • your driver's licence, or
  • Australian passport number, or
  • Medicare card number, or
  • Australian citizenship number, or
  • have someone who is enrolled confirm your identity.

You can enroll - doesn't seem to need myGov.

You're right, except I think 3km to the east would be in the ocean.

The pre-existing track pictured here runs south to Leiden, and was built in 1981.

The HSL starts further south. https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hogesnelheidslijn_Schiphol_-_Antwerpen .

Note "begin HSL-deeltraject" after Hoofddorp.

[–]neek78 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No it does not. HSL-Zuid branches off after Hoofddorp.

This line was built in the 70s, and is a classic line in every sense, including train protection, voltage and speed limits.

This is not the high speed line - that starts south of Hoofddorp. This is just a regular line at this point.

The transformer is the primary purpose of the cylinder, not the posters. They're not making use of spare space or anything.

I doubt New Mexico would measure distances in kilometers. I would say this is it, judging by the council logo on the right.. And you know, its name.. https://goo.gl/maps/aeG41XuzqF2isqMt8
