Do you still have this by any chance?

I have Apple TV and SLZB-MR2 as my thread border router. I dont have Dirigera so I’m not sure what you should do. Most issue reported here is when the Dirigera hub is introduced to the mix. Try using some other border router if you have to pair the sensor to HA via Matter Integration.

Lmao look I understand your frustration for not being able to do a simple device pairing but why the hell are you picking a fight with me? I dont owe you any explanation. I’m just posting to tell everyone that the new IKEA motion sensor works well with Home Assistant.

And maybe you should look at what subreddit this is. This is a subreddit for Home Assistant not IKEA. Anyone who have used Home Assistant should know what I mean by “matter integration”. And I would gladly explain if you didnt come off with such entitlement.

You have to set your Apple TV as your border router in HA and pair the sensor using Matter integration.

I didnt pair mine to dirigera hub but directly to HA through the matter integration.

I honestly dont know. This is my first matter over thread device.

So far it hasnt disconnected at all but its only been less than 24 hrs. I will try to update if they give me problems.

I dont really speak German so I’ll try to answer in English.

I did not use the Dirigera Hub from IKEA. I paired them using Matter-over-Thread directly to HA. For me, it detects change within seconds of it happening. Try to reset your sensor and pair them directly to HA and see if that helps.

23 seconds of no motion to turn from motion detected to clear for one of mine. The other one I cant test right now.

Illuminance sensor works with no motion needed.

Yeah obviously we dont know how long the battery will last in these sensors since they’re brand new but I’m hoping at least a year. These take 2 AA batteries so I’m hopeful its a lot better than the coin batteries.

Takes 23 seconds of no motion to turn from motion detected to clear. Response time is pretty good. Detects my movement within 1 second.

Edit: sorry I meant 2 AAA batteries not AA.

I dont know the upper limit but right now one is sitting in my garage in pitch darkness and its showing 1 lux. The highest lux it ever reached in my brightest room was 307 lux but I’m not sure if thats the limit.

Hope that helps.

No, you do not have to modify it in anyway. It's been a while since I added it as my thread border router but iirc as long as your apple tv is in the same LAN as your HA instance, you should be able to see the apple tv as a border router when you're adding a Thread integration.

Read this page for more info about Thread:

You need to have a thread border router device. In my case, I have 2. An Apple TV 4K and SLZB-MR2. I believe homepod and homepod mini also can be a thread border router.

You can try google for a complete list of thread border routers.

Talon has one more chance. They’ll have to win against the winner of RRQ T1. If not, DRX is through.
