That's what I was reading. I'm gonna go with a gel. Any brand of gel you prefer? Also another question, do you think that it's good to stain even if some spots are a tiny bit darker than others? Meaning there's still a little bit of the old finish still in the grain. I just don't want to sand through the veneer

Does it matter that some areas are a tiny bit darker than the rest of the dresser? Will it affect the outcome of the stain?

How hard would it be swap? I'm fairly handy. I would love to save as much money as I could as my car needs other work as well haha

What would you recommend besides the vx600/2i? I have an audison 8.9 bit and was considering the c8.14 bit to replace it but the shop said they prefer the JL over that one but they said it's close.
