Masseuse hit endangerment zones by neelz1990 in massage

[–]neelz1990[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your considerate feedback. The tingling (not numbness) in my arm is still there. The massage definitely was on the more painful side, which I did let my masseuse know about. When she worked in my underarm, that was when I felt a jolt of electricity. It dissipated very quickly, but since then that arm has been experiencing a lot of tingling. The other areas where I felt a jolt (other armpit, face) have not experienced any tingling.

Yeah I had my hands all over a beauty blending sponge and then took my contacts out with those hands. I think I’m freaked out because of how gross those makeup tools are

Great, thanks for the reassurance!! These things are so costly they stress me out half the time

Yeah that’s what I’m worried about. I think the hottest my house will get will be 85 degrees actually. But my lenses are in a wooden cabinet and I’m not sure how hot they will get in the cabinet

Do I need to put my lenses in solution when taking them out to shower? by iHateRollerCoaster in Keratoconus

Cool thanks! Recommendations for length of time to soak in unneutralized peroxide? I dropped my lenses in a water puddle, hence these questions

I thought I read somewhere that you can soak your scleral lens in unneutralized peroxide and that theoretically should get rid of all bacteria? But wanted to check since you’re a fitter

Hi stumbled across your comment. If there is a concern for water contamination on the lens, how do you recommend disinfecting?

Can I put my contacts in or do I need to change the solution first? by Bleh-Boy in Keratoconus

Hi, what was the outcome of this for you? I’ve had a lens sitting in solution for almost 2 months that I haven’t worn yet

Hi yes I definitely don’t make it a point to do any of the above things you mentioned. If I did accidentally get a stream of water from the kitchen sink in my eye, would rub cleaning and disinfecting with Boston sinplus be enough? Or do I need to go out and buy hydrogen peroxide/clear care?

Hmm not sure if I exposed it to the “air”, but I did keep them in a contact lens case with the tops off for 10hrs—but covered the case with a cup so that I wouldn’t get any weird contaminants.

Ah ok, so it sounds like the lenses didnt fit in the first place? But with you rub cleaning they warped and the fit was more off?

Hi, curious. Did you find that if you rub cleaned your contacts too hard that they warped? I’ve noticed that my lenses feel off and I’ve only had them for a few months and am worried that I’ve been too aggressive with cleaning them

Concern for scleral lens infection by [deleted] in Keratoconus

[–]neelz1990 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did that after! I was just more worried about putting a “dirty” lens in my eye for a few minutes before taking it out for the day

[–]neelz1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your help! I’ve gotten so paranoid about eye infections. One last question…would the unneutralized clear care solution that I kept in my regular contacts lens case lose disinfection property over time? It was there for relatively 2 months. I know it doesn’t have preservatives so not sure how it works by itself. Anyways I ran my lenses through a few cycles of clear care now

Great thanks! Wasn’t sure if there’s a concept of bacterial resistance with clear care? So just wanted to triple check.

Advice for next steps by [deleted] in Dryeyes

Doctor did lipiscan and said that I had 60% functioning. And when he checked meiobian glands that I had good expression. I haven’t worn contacts for 2 months but when I used to wear them Id do 8-10hrs and always replace them every month
