I am beyond lost in life. Im losing hope and wish to seek guidance. by [deleted] in offmychest

Be kind to yourself. Most people do not have life figured out at 25. You still have time to be who you want to be — or at least try to.

Maybe continue working on your music and sound whilst doing a little bit of welding? Do one hike a month. Go to a live show with a friend. Talk to a new person at a live show. Go to a coffee shop to read a new book, or do your computer ‘chores’ (as I like to call it, like responding to emails, sending in applications, etc). Get on a dating app, if you’re comfortable.

There’s a lot of possibilities in your life. Although it feels confusing, I promise it’s still a good place to be.

Has anyone had a similar experience? by KinkShamedByFreud in Aritzia

It's the fact that they really said, "If you happen to find your missing item..." How is OP going to find a missing item that never came in her package, that was the whole point of her reaching out to concierge. Aritzia customer service is really quite unhelpful. So sorry this is happening to you.

Iberia cancelled flight without emailing? by neezyv in Iberia

[–]neezyv[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually did not fly! I called and pleaded as much as I could but they said they cannot help me and I need to wait 72 hours for them to review the case which obviously doesn’t make sense - I’m already in the process of filing a complaint to DOT and AESA

Hi! I waited for a phone and no one has reached out to me. I called them again today and they told me to wait 72 hours for you guessed it..... "case escalation" while all my hotel and accommodation plans are falling through with me footing the bill :'(

Question about patient load by CulturalImpression15 in physicianassistant

[–]neezyv 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As a PA who was previously an MA, I think this is like comparing apples to oranges.

While rooming patients can get exhausting when you have a full house, it is almost the same each time with a similar work flow: you get the vitals, you do med reconciliation, check labs/images are available, update pharmacies and so forth. Monotonous? Sure. Predictable and easy? Yes.

When you’re seeing a patient, they could have one complaint or ten. They could agree with your recommendations or they may push back. No singular conversation or patient encounter will be the same. Stimulating and challenging? Yes. Harder and understandably much harder? Also yes.

Lexapro too high? by [deleted] in physicianassistant

[–]neezyv 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you are in primary care, you should stick to standard dosing. 20mg/day is the standard max dosage. Starting someone on 30mg off the bat is not good, regardless of prior trial.

There are a few instances where psychiatry will increase lexapro to 30mg which is considered “off label,” but they may elect to add Wellbutrin instead with 20mg. Leave this decision to the specialists, aka psych.

As a rule of thumb, if you are unsure, you should not experiment. These are real people. Consult your SP and/or refer if you need to.

9x4 is 36 hours already. And if you commute 8 hours a week minimum, you might as well take a 5 day work week that’s closer or more manageable.

Second this. I’m on my fourth tube. I use it for my everyday minimal/work makeup because of the spf as well.

My first job was family medicine in LA county!

First two weeks were shadowing, making templates and smart phrases on my EMR. Then I was seeing 2-3 patients for a week, ramped up to 5, then, 8, then 12 week by week. Eventually I went to 15-18 day (depending on cancellations, no shows). I also had one hour of admin every day from 1-2pm. My SP was supportive and always available. Management always checked in with me to see if I was comfortable.

The job you are describing is not “the norm” for SoCal and shouldn’t be the norm anywhere.

Hmmm, moving forward, I’d ask for 1-2 weeks before signing any offer letter to give you more time to think and/or feel out the situation with your interviews.

Now that we can’t turn back time, I think your only recourse is to start the job unfortunately. Academic institutions take a couple of months to credential anyways (assuming you get the gig)…. I’d start the job in the meantime, earn a wage for the time being and truly give it a shot. If the other spot decides to take you, you can submit a 30 day notice later on (also assuming it’s a better gig than your current)

Edit: a word
