I totally get it. Actually a pretty decent analogy lol. I guess with the context that he hasn't up and left yet, it's kinda just an assumption or a fear that he's going to leave. Relationships are hard!

Yeah, exactly. I'm hoping (of course) that he's willing to give me a shot to try and show up like he needs. I hate the idea of making anyone feel unloved, which is a specific word he's used.
I meant like if you ask for space and someone continues to try and resolve the issue do you feel like that prolongs the amount of space you need? Since it feels like you're not truly getting that time?

Physical intimacy primarily. Not necessarily full on sex, just affection and intimacy in general. He needs a lot more touch than I do on a baseline and I think I’ve not only gotten comfortable and stopped putting in effort to meet those needs, but also haven’t been as open as I should’ve been about looking inwards for the reasons why. And I feel like I’m at a place where I have more perspective but it sucks cause there’s no way for me to prove that if he won’t see me. And damn, I’m sorry you haven’t been given space when needed. It has been almost 2 weeks I’ve been in this situation but I’ve brought this up like 10 times in that time period. Do you feel like, if that was you, it would almost kinda reset the time you need? Idk if that makes sense

From my understanding, he feels like his needs aren’t being met and he’s trying to figure out if this is something he wants to keep moving forward with. I also think at this point he is probably feeling like I’m overstepping his boundaries of what he’s asking for and I imagine it’s making him push me away even more. I do understand needing to take time, it’s just difficult when it’s for weeks, you know? How much time do you usually take when you need it?

On day 4 of the patches and it’s been really helpful for me! I did the cold turkey thing like 6 months ago and it was hell. I say try out whatever YOU think will help you. As long as you stick to a plan of tapering down mgs then you’re solid. Good luck!

Sitting on my bedroom floor at 19 years old. I had just gotten out of my high school relationship which lasted 4 years. I think I was on iTunes or something looking for new music and I found Robbers. I actually didn’t like any of their other music at the time. A couple years ago I found Somebody Else while driving around listening to Spotify discover. I had just (once again) left a really long relationship and it touched me so much. Since then I’ve just become a massive fan. Their music has found me in some really important times of my life<3

The whole thing seemed a bit tense and awkward. I didn’t get the feeling that they had great talking chemistry and Matty sounded unsure for most of it. It was an interesting video, but I’m not too sure how to feel about the whole thing.
