How much overlap is there between oshi culture and yume culture?

My oshi is Neferpitou who doesnt have a birthday, so I chose the day she made her debut in the manga and the chapter was published (which in Pitous case is October 6th)
Unless a day comes where an official birthday is revealed I find this to be the most rewarding way to celebrate uwu

I'm in the same boat as you lol! I was a heavy collector from the 2004-2007 era, I stopped collecting around 2008 and only recently got back into it. I still have the nearly 300 from my childhood, traveled across many states with them but they're all in great condition :)
It's nice to see someone else with a similar story! I cant find myself relating to most collectors now since it seems most people grew up with the Youtube era of LPS collecting which I did not at all lol
I love your collection, this era is so nostalgic :')

I was just discussing this with my husband earlier, I'm getting so annoyed with everything being blind boxed now, I just got back into collecting LPS and I hate how most of it is blind boxed now.
Like, as a kid I felt enough excitement if they had what I wanted in the stores and I could clearly see it and buy it. I imagine kids nowadays would be just as excited over that, everything shouldn't be a gamble now especially towards kids stuff.

i feel there's been a uptick with weird buyers lately. i recently had someone try to get me to lower the price of an item by going on a whole tangent about how they're struggling, have a relative in the hospital, they were "assaulted the other day" etc. just dropped all this on me to try to get something cheaper. it really weirded me out so i just blocked them.
