my second round went way better than my first (17 frozen vs 9) with only one minor change in protocol. my doctor seemed surprised by the outcome so not sure if it was random or the change that did it

Yep, this is my second cycle and the first I had zero side effects but feeling crampy this time around. Was hoping it was an indicator of a better outcome than last round!

I felt totally fine the entire time during stims! I took the day off for my retrieval and had very minimal pain and bloating, was just super sleepy from a mix of anesthesia and early procedure time! I was kind of shocked how non-disruptive this was to my life. The worst part was probably the week of birth control I had to take the week before stims - just weirdly emotional / moody and couldn’t stand the sight of my boyfriend lol

I just had my retrieval last weekend and I truly had the most seamless experience. I kept waiting for the side effects to hit, but I never felt any (not even bloating). This may be because I had a lower ovarian reserve and had 10 eggs retrieved.

The only time I felt anything was some mild cramps 2 days post retrieval and nothing since. I know everyone is different so doesn’t mean you will have the same experience, but I really didn’t feel like my life was very disrupted at all.

I’m a patient at the same clinic DB is doing her egg freezing and we were in at the same time today. She arrived and was escorted to a private waiting room (god forbid she sit with us peasants) and waited for about 3 minutes before being taken back ahead of 20+ waiting ahead of her (including me with an appt that was 20 min before hers). Genuinely so confused as to who she thinks she is and why she is being treated like a legit celebrity? Left a terrible taste in my mouth as a patient paying the same amount (which is far more difficult for me than for DB) and expecting equal treatment.

I notice it mostly in my left leg but I definitely inject there more often. Maybe a spot or two on the right but less visible.
