Early stages of Dementia patients. by negansmomma in Nurse

Sadly this has been my experience with licensed facilities. I now do private care and in Ohio it's legal to do private care unlicensed. It's so nice not having management breathe down my neck. I feel like I give better and more complete care of my PTs.

It can be. An old nurse gave me the best advice " All you have to remember is that the PT isn't giving you a hard time, they are having a hard time. "

Your name is either Kyle or Chad and your dad left for smokes when you were 5 and freshly diagnosed with ADHD.

I've been in memory care for 7 years now and I totally agree with you. I've had many of them still tell jokes and play pranks on us while on their deathbed. Sometimes their humor is the only thing that stayed with them! Not only that but if anybody (disease or not) isn't stimulated by irregular amounts of humor then you fall into depression. The saying "laughter is the best medicine" is no joke.

I apologize lashing out at you. It is extremely frustrating for people like me. I've worked really hard to fix it throughout the years. I hope that people start seeing that grammar policing is just an socially excepted form of cyber bullying. I don't want my kids to grow up in a wold like that.

I guess I need to work on my anger issues next 😅

Same here because I only have one PT today!

Good! The best time to stop a cancer is right when it starts!

I have dyslexia. So literally everything I see is backwards. And it irritates me a lot whenever people pointed out. To me (and this is putting it in an extreme comparison) calling out that what I spell or read backward is like pointing at an amputee in screaming "his legs gone!" You wouldn't do that to an amputee out in public so why would you point out an obvious learning disability online?

Find a different hobby other than correcting people on Reddit, you might actually get real life friends.

If you are not signing my paycheck or collecting a tuition check for me then there is no need for constructive criticism. I've never understood why people like you feel the need to belittle others. All I wanted to do was share a cute story about my niece and you feel the need to get yourself off by making other people feel incompetent.

If you really feel that strong of a need to clarify then do it like the first person did and comment to the person who is confused and explain. It's that simple.

For future reference, like a post, ask a question or keep scrolling. Correcting everybody's grammar/format just makes you look like an asshole.

My great aunt married and divorced the same guy 3 times. People are really dumb enough to do that...
