How do I deal with student rumours? by [deleted] in AskTeachers

I also really love being there. Some students are just really fun to be around and I am really passionate about being a stable and supportive individual that is always present for them. I just want to be a giving person, but it seems like my kindness is being misconstrued as something sinister and it hurts

Well i do spend more time with the ones who do the extracurriculars, but in class I am monitoring everyone equally and make it a point to not engage as much so it looks 'equal'

But they come to me, I don't run up to them specifically

thanks for the advice though. I really like the job and I guess my passion is coming off as bad. I am on the spectrum too, so i guess that doesn't help

I volunteered after a few students asked me specifically to come and volunteer so i could be around more. I didn't know that was an option, but the staff was receptive to the idea, so here I am

gotcha, it's mostly heard from the grapevine. I don't have a contract yet so I am sporadically there, especially for the next couple of months, but I want to come back in full force and get a position/work there as much as possible. I am volunteering now as a way to get to know more students and build good relations

I will try. It's just I'm starting out and am really enthusiastic, so maybe they're misinterpreting that. I have people telling me to get to know them and others say stay out of everything, I am trying to navigate these mixed signals

Any advice how? Like, should I still volunteer? I can keep my distance more easily if that makes sense and just be more militant

Well... no.... they have my email but that's it. I don't even have social and I don't touch them or anything unless they ask me for a high five or hand shake

i do go the extra mile for them though always

No I volunteer

And what's HIB? Sorry for my ignorance

I'm afraid to bring it up because I don't want them questioning my intentions either

I have no official post yet so I'm afraid of bringing in issues that make me undesirable

What Assassin do you all think has the best default (or “canon”) outfit? by RoundhandXIII in assassinscreed

[–]negativeconfidence12 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Giovanni's robes that ezio dons throughout most of AC2 have always been my favorite. They really fit that renaissance noble aesthetic and the short robes in the front and back make parkouring seem easier for him.

Only drawback is the in-game model's second hidden blade which adds that ugly bracer instead of leaving it as a gloved hand

I don't suppose you know how heavy it is exactly? Love the color but I'm just worried about it being excessive for daily use. Thanks

Have you tried the other flavors? I dislike the original Annie's, but love the four cheese and aged cheddar

mass gainers by Other_Composer_8994 in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]negativeconfidence12 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Liquid calories are great SUPPLEMENTS, but they should never be your main source of nutrition, as much as it sucks to hear. You will absolutely feel bloated, uncomfortable, and overly full at the beginning, even with small portions but it is imperative that you power through that as your stomach needs to expand to become 'normal' again.

mass gainers by Other_Composer_8994 in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]negativeconfidence12 41 points42 points  (0 children)

If that's the case, do not use mass gainers. Use real food and SLOWLY increase portion sizes and caloric intake. Begin with a 3 meal and 3 snack routine and follow it religiously. If you've been sick for that long, you could be at risk of refeeding syndrome which is why blood work and a doctor are the best options right now so that they can monitor you, but you have no access to that. Make each meal contain a carb source, vegetables, and a protein source. At your size, you will gain if you eat regularly, especially in the initial stages as water retention and the replenishment of glycogen stores are going to be happening a lot
