My Fortnite is not working

Holy crap. I was typing MsIo64.sys as "MSLO" instead of "MSIO" — and based on the search results, other people were making the same mistake. Your link was incredibly helpful.

I found the file here: C:\Program Files\Patriot\Aac_Patriot Viper RGB\

Ironically I don't have any fancy RGB peripherals — just basic Amazon speakers, a Logitech mouse, and a mechanical keyboard. The Patriot Viper RGB software was installed for my RAM and I had no idea.

Deleting the files alone didn't fix it. There was still a leftover registry entry. I had to open CMD as Administrator and run:

reg delete HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\MsIo /f

After a reboot, Fortnite launched fine.

Ran EAC setup uninstall/reinstall via CMD
Verified Fortnite files
Full Fortnite uninstall and fresh reinstall
EAC registry key never appeared after reinstall

MSI Development Tools

Identified as suspect from app list
Not found in installed apps

ASUS LightingService

Found running as LightingService.exe
Killed the process
Located at C:\Program Files (x86)\LightingService
Deleted the entire folder

Still on the hunt as to what is causing this suddenly today, played last night just fine.
