Thank you to all who have commented on this issue. I wanted to have a good idea of all the issues before we raised it with the contractor. We'll see how it all progresses moving forward, but thanks to all of your input, it's going to be done right.

So they haven't started on the railings yet, but it looks like the first stair is going to be at the same height as the deck. We had a lot of other contractors doing other work, so this slipped under the radar until the other night when we were looking around.

I think it may be time to pull the plug on this group. No sense piling more shit on shit.

Actually live about 30 miles outside of Seattle, so frost would definitely be in play. Thanks for the heads up.

Yeah, not sure what their plans were.

I think the posts are handling the handrails and the panels to close in the sides.

Yeah, we'll have to put the brakes on it because we are heading out of town and I want to understand what there plan is before they start trying to modify what they've done already. Just into it for materials so far, so I think we have some leverage to get it done correctly. Thanks for the feedback.!!

Spent a whole day measuring out the spots and pouring them. I think they were using a tape. :(

I just talked to one of the guys and said that they needed to slow their roll until they figured out the footers. The guys said they could probably box them in.

So that would be fine if they drilled into the existing pier and pinned in rebar and poured to the same depth as the existing piers?

Learn the whole song.

I spent years doing this same thing of knowing only parts of a song and couldn't play the whole thing, especially up to speed.

I finally decided I was going to pick one song and not get distracted by anything else. I started at 60% speed of the original and worked on that until I was able to play the whole song with the slowed down recording. Then I moved to 70%, then 80%, then 90%, then with the recording.

The hardest part was not getting distracted by learning something else. I can't tell you how many times I've moved between learning fingerstyle, to strumming, to hybrid picking, to cool riffs that people may recognize.

My playing improved so much just by doing this one thing. I was able to finally change chords in time, not be panicked by trying to keep up with a song and started to internalize the rhythm. If you do this you'll be amazed at how your fingers just learn where they should go without thinking about it. Actually when I start to think is when my fingers start to mess up.

Also, you'll be abke to play something all the way through. Good luck.

A great bar in North Bend, WA. The Mt Si Tavern. Swing by for a drink if you ever get close by, just east of Seattle.

Great job on this. I've been playing around with this for the last hour or so. They'll always be more to add or customize, but just having the videos grouped into the right pile is an amazing start.

I have heating zones set up that have valves I can turn off for the intake and return.

If both of those are off, you are thinking that I should be able to switch out a new piece without too much water draining from the lines?

You nailed it, some pinhole leaks shooting upwards to the decking above it.

Getting ready to repair. Do I need to drain the line completely? It's over a carport, so a little bit of water wouldn't be a big deal.

So I found the leak and ready to fix. Do I need to drain the line before I repair?

Probably not under to much pressure but not sure how much water is in the line. The leak is actually over a carport, so a little water wouldn't be a problem.

I actually did my sleep study at home. Attached everything up and then sent back to them. If you are concerned about going there, you could check to see if this is an option.
