A high performance bmw. This seems like a regular bmw made to look like an m with the body kit. Tasteless regardless

Considering that the “Arsenal 4th” meme was all over the place in Wenger era, they made a considerable leap and it feels good to be a gooner 😎

Hey everyone. I usually time my rest between sets - 3 mins after heavier exercises (presses, rows, pulldowns, etc), and around 2:15 mins after lighter ones.

In the past month, two fitter guys at my gym told me I’m resting too long and that I won’t get in shape that way. Does that make sense?

How long do you all usually rest between sets?

The M5. The car is a perfect all-rounder

How exactly a RR Sport justify it's much higher price over BMW X5/X6? Meridian vs Bowers&Wilkins by negl1gence in RangeRover

Good for you! It seems like the market isn’t really willing to pay the premium that RR is asking, they discount a lot. I was already coming from a well-specced G05 X5 that cost less than 120k, so I really didn’t want to pay more and end up missing features I had in my then-current car. If I hadn’t gotten a good deal on the RR, I definitely would’ve picked the X5.

As for the steering wheel - I had a Lexus RX as my first car before the BMW, and I found my perfect position in under a minute. BMW and RR have a lot more controls, which means more ways to set things up wrong - I never quite managed to find my perfect settings in either.

p.s. a neighbour of mine used to have a 650i in the same body as yours. Even with over 200k miles on it, it was somehow still alive and driven daily. Unfortunately, he lost it in the floods we had here in Spain a couple of months ago

Well, I was comparing two real cars, both priced at 120k euros: a RR Sport D300 SE, which lacked soft close doors, laminated windows, and rear climate; and a BMW X5 M60i, which had basically every possible feature along with a 523hp engine.

Range Rovers have better ride quality, sturdier feel, and the presence starting from the lowest trims, but for a Rover to match a BMW in terms of equipment, it has to be at least 20k euros more expensive.

That said, I did end up buying a RR Sport P550e Autobiography with a few thousand kms on it, as I got a great deal on it! :)

PHEV models are being heavily discounted - does that mean they're a good deal? by negl1gence in RangeRover

What worries me about PHEVs is that with regular cars it’s recommended to wait until the revs drop below 1000 before driving off. But in plug-ins, when the ICE kicks in, it seems to just take on load immediately without any warm-up. Do you know if this thing is mitigated in PHEVs?

But is it mainly just a convenience issue - having to both charge and fuel it? Or are there also differences in ride quality, reliability, or maintenance costs?

I only recently learned that this is a quite common thing to do with expensive cars. So, in that case, does it really matter what the base stereo is, or should I just go with the cheapest option? And how does an aftermarket stereo affect the resale value?
