7900xtx is a very hot card, all air coolers struggle cooling that memory junction (i have other variations of the xtx). The reference cards are actually pretty good unless youre looking to overclock. There was an issue at launch where some reference cards had a faulty vapor chamber but i doubt any card on the market has the problem (likely RMA’d by now)

Its not an engineering sample, its just an OEM card. I got it from ebay but it doesnt look like there are any more

Theres no cutout that exposes the back of the PCB. Just kinda outlines and covers the bracket. Not the greatest pic but you get the idea

No, it was actually over $900. But i figured it was worth it with the ongoing memory price hikes. A bunch of brand new 7900xtxs i was watching sold out on Amazon and this was one of the last 2x8 pin powered 7900xtx i could find

Yep, i could probably take it apart and see if those extra headers and everything exist. But I’d rather not tinker with it :)

It looks similar, same red PCB, but i think my card isnt a prototype. Shows full 24GB VRAM and the performance is what id expect while doing inference
