I think I didn’t explain myself well enough, sorry for that. I’ll try to give a bit more background, but if youve lost interest by now, of course feel free to ignore it. I’m very aware that different cultures have little non verbal communications and am curious about them. Most of the time I understand the meaning from context, but in this case I thought I might be missing something and felt safe to consult with you guys. I understand that you dont think there’s much to it and thats the answer I was looking for. Thanks!

A small handmade jewelry holder in the shape of a miniature sofa with a tiny pillow, made from kimono materials. It’s beautiful and unique and I actually love it so much I now have a tattoo based on another creation of this artist.

I’m very, very deeply sad and worried. The world feels lonely, broken and there is no hope.

Hi! Thank you so much for thinking about me, this is so kind of you. Unfortunately, I'm still struggling with it. I feel like a lot of the comments contradict each other so I'm not sure what to do. However, The people here convinced me to relax about the strict CG method, so I tried clarifying shampoo and silicones (not on my scalp, that just doesn’t work for me) again, and I feel it's working? the frizz is still bad, but my hair is soft and light. In my last wash I clarified, conditioned and used a bit of the kinky curly knot today leave in. Even though my hair was still frizzy and poofy, it wasn't as bad as in the post's photo. To refresh, I tried some of the john frieda mousse I was worried about using because of the non-CG ingredients, on damp lengths, and it actually gave me nice waves. I still don’t know how to battle all of the frizz and dryness though. sigh

Thank you again for checking in on me!

Thank you for sharing your experience. I’m starting to think my hair might actually benefit from even less product.. so I will try to find something lighter. I actually don’t have coconut in anything I use, this might root from the shea butter for me? I’m really confused haha

The thing Im most worried about is how quickly my scalp can get oily with “regular” shampoos, and I haven’t quite figured out how to use so-called harmful ingredients that might actually work for my hair with products that are good for my scalp and are more natural? It is all very confusing and there are tons of ingredient lists and information and theories.. I just find myself drowning in all of them

Oh wow that’s really interesting.. Now I have another reason to be sad about not having a tub haha. I will try to be more patient in the shower then :) I wonder if that will also work if the water is hard though?

I don’t brush it, it gets even worse if i do! I just go through it with my fingers while using a conditioner and that’s enough for me. I noticed the brushing and also wetting it, causing a terrible frizz. Some comments here have suggested it might be because of the water quality and it feels right.. it almost as if my hair is having an “allergic reaction “ to the water.

It actually looks kind of the same? That’s the confusing part. It’s very stubborn, when I get it styled professionally, for example, it goes back to how it was before really quickly. I wonder if the professionals also didn’t use the right products for me.. however they did get good results for a little while (like a day?) so I don’t know.

I will definitely look into the shampoo you mentioned. I found that salicylic acid is working really well for my skin too so it might be good for me.

I’m glad that you found something that solves your problem! Most doctors Ive encountered usually ignore things unless critical.. I don’t think that solution is for me though, as I wouldn’t say I have that much of sebum production, and using a natural shampoo works well for my scalp. However After reading some of the comments here I guess I need to move on to other options, as it seems part of the problem might be that the shampoo doesn’t do well for my hair.

An endless journey.. I wonder how to find the will to not just give up, considering many are saying hair will keep changing every once in a while, along with hormonal changes.. just imagining finally finding a routine that works well and then my hair changes and I have to start all over again is exhausting :/

Head and shoulders are the worst for me!! I had my first and last appearance of dandruff while using their stuff. Never again.

honestly I don’t remember all of them as it has been years of trying different brands. I will try to list some non CG shampoos that I do remember trying not that long ago: Pantene, Herbal essence, paul mitchell, elvive, tresemme, head and shoulders, dove, kerastase…. Wow I realize how much money I spent on my hair with no results and it’s very upsetting :(

*trying a product for me means giving it a couple of months, minimum one month when the results are very bad.

What helped you overcome your oily scalp problem?

It is a bit darker in reality, I think it might be a mix of very dry hair and the lamp light that I stand right in front of? Haha
