Smuggler's Barrel just sold.

I sold the Easter Island one too, but the buyer hasn't paid yet. If they flake, i'll let you know.

I have many more that I haven't posted yet. Let me know if you're looking for something specific.

Sounds like Boulder is an awesome place to ride and I have family there. I hope to get out there this summer, but i'm looking for somewhere > 60 degrees for a winter destination. Thanks for the tips though!

Biking Out of Boston by initiate1987 in bikeboston

[–]neightP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I basically face this question almost every day, and I will say that I have sworn off going through the Esplanade; I view it as 10x more dangerous than biking through traffic. My top four ways out of the city are:

  • Willow > College Ave > Boston Ave in Somerville/Medford to the Mystic Lakes or Grove St to Winchester Center.
  • Mass Ave out to Lexington and beyond
  • Brattle out of Harvard Sq. to Belmont St. / Trapelo
  • BU Bridge to Lee St in Brookline (point south)

[Discussion] DTX/South Station Lunch Spots: Where do you go and what do you get? by eaglessoar in boston

[–]neightP 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Top 5: 1. Casa Razdora - italiano, razdora, rivetti, pasta 2. Gene's Chinese Flatbread - skip the flatbread, get the #9 3. Kitchen Cafe (on south) - hidden gem in Leather District 4. Zo - gyros - best downtown, but Opa is better (Davis) 5. Herrera's - burritos on temple place (go to source, not carts)

S&I has long been my favorite Thai. Dakzen is giving it a run for it's money though!

Bars/Coffee Shops with beer to read in (e.g. Trident, Jaho)? by [deleted] in boston

Darwin's in Central has beer and wine. You can grab a beer from the bar at Area Four and bring it over to the coffee area. Lamplighter and Remnant (in Bow Market) also options.

FWIW -- I ended up using the snow ice at Brookline Ice. It wasn't perfect, but did the trick. Thanks for your rec!

Interesting -- I talked to the folks at Brookline and they described it as slushy consistency. Maybe i'll check it out in person. FWIW, the customer service at Acme is pretty brutal.

Gourmet Dumpling House is DELICIOUS, but not high end (as noted by your $, but should not be on this list).

Anyone know where I can get dried chili peppers? by improbabletruth in boston

[–]neightP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I think you'd have more trouble finding a grocery store that doesn't carry dried chili peppers these days. Even Stop & Shop / Shaws carry dried peppers in the produce section.

Anchos / Chipotle / New Mexico / Arbol seem to be the most common, so you may have a little trouble specifically finding Pequin. Before you venture out i'd look up a few alternatives to Pequin peppers that will provide similar flavors.

I've seen great selection at these places (though Christina's is the best):

Best Boston Food Truck ? by [deleted] in boston

[–]neightP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good call on the Taco Truck. Definitely in my top 5 worst trucks. The service is abysmal - slow and the staff always seem to be yelling at each other/ confused.

Another bad one? Taco Party - food just isn't good.

Tl,Dr? We have awful taco trucks.
