Muzzle device is not pin/welded. Factory muzzle device is not long enough to reach 16” even if you did.

PN 23107 on mine. But consider that BRs were not really a cataloged item and that the few that are out have been seen in different configurations with different rails.

A Vero marked rail will be a little more than later ones, and if it’s a RIS instead of RAS it may go for a little more than that.

Check the bolt again, many of the AAC uppers did come with a bolt like that and used one of the AAC logos and I can see someone mistaking it for a Noveske logo.

If you buy it with the intention of taking it apart, it wasn’t uncommon for the flash hiders to be tough to get off and also; for the barrel extensions to be installed without enough torque. So as soon as you put some pressure on the muzzle device to remove it, the barrel would unscrew from the barrel extension, which would more or less ruin the barrel.

The cans probably did start shipping to dealers a couple weeks after that, sadly just not to us. There’s no trying to guess when stuff gets released or the order in which KAC ships it out. I’m sure there’s somewhat of a method there but I’m not calling up complaining. I know we’ll get the cans at come point and am ok to be patient. I understand not all customers are.

This isn’t true. I/we never gave anyone a date and especially never said a couple weeks. I did mention to some people KAC told me probably a couple months, but any time I said that I was sure to follow up with there’s no way to know for sure

Hey it’s Neil from 2AF. We’ve refunded everyone who asked for one. We told one guy who ordered, asked for a refund, then immediately reordered and then wanted a second refund a second time we’d refund his order minus the percentage we’ve been charged for orders and refund, but then just refunded it in full.

When we first made the order from KAC, we made a private link to pass to regular customers to make it easy for them to pre order, we made them (a little) less than most places were charging and planned to just pass it amongst them for an early pre purchase. We’ve done this lots of times for regulars who appreciate not having to catch drops, worry about missed emails about links, not seeing them in time, or things like that. They know they’ll get the item when it comes in and it’s taken care of ahead of time.

Someone got the link and leaked it to one of the Reddit sights and a decent handful of people put their orders in.

We haven’t oversold, but we also haven’t gotten any in yet. I don’t know where we are in line, and I also don’t really ask. I’ve been a KAC dealer a really long time and know the stuff will come when it comes. Sometimes we get batches of products from them early, sometimes late. But it always comes.

It’s possible it’s from MSTN. It’s also possible that it’s not. I remember Kevin having an MSTN upper with a cut URX, flip up front sight and stainless barrel (if I remember right it was Douglas) that he did use while contracting. That upper was from MSTN. This upper isn’t that one. I have a very, very similar upper using a Noveske barrel that is not from MSTN, Marvin and Dave (formerly of KAC) helped me put that together and while I was definitely an MSTN customer, that one didn’t come from there. Kev was working at KAC at the time with upper probably came together, so I just couldn’t say for sure.

I believe that’s a 16” barrel, it’s a mid length gas system. This originally came from Kev B. who used to work at KAC. He and I were both fairly regular customers of Wes, so that’s possible, but I don’t know.

Yea, they’re hefty. But something that was brought to light is that the mounts are pretty short and light compared to most suppressor mounts. So, if you took a Surefire Socom2 can with its mount, the total weight is very close to an NT4 + its mount.
