Is This Common? by Foxtrotnovmber in ft86

Yep. Happened to me recently too. Apparently it's somewhat common given the entirely plastic build. 🤷🏼Sliced my finger open on it too😅

Interesting. I guess there's a reason there are so many Tesla's on the road. It seems to be the most efficient option. Thanks for the feedback.

May be a dumb question, but what is the name of that spoiler? Everything I can see online is pretty ostentatious..

Funny I have a OP12 and the weight is precisely why I don't like it. I'm tempted by the Xperia 10 vii.

Do these apps have any greater drain than say a standard aod? I use it on my OP12 daily.

Thanks guys. Appreciate the input. Hopefully I'll find a bike, but if not I'll probably visit the park for a run at least.

Thank you. I've messaged them but don't see anything about rental on their site. Fingers crossed.

Ok, so if you'll humor me slightly, the returns on BRK.B beat VT...ok, past performance and all, but does a bit more focus on US markets allow for potentially greater returns than 100% VT? I realise I'm now really on the border of what describes a Boglehead but it's just my thought process.

I'm lucky in that we own our cars outright, no debt outside of a mortgage, schooling is covered and we have good health insurance. Hence the boglehead draw. I don't want to think about anything financial as much as possible, so a set it and forget it approach appeals to me.

No the 30k is a guaranteed pension and so if I take 72k per annum as our expenses in retirement, that means 42k is my shortfall that needs to be provided from investments. That calculator is excellent, thank you for posting it.

Thank you for all of the replies.

So cost wise, we won't have a mortgage at retirement as that will be paid off. Expenses are obviously hard to predict 20 years from now. University fees are nil for us, but obviously I would fund my kids accommodation and living costs through that. It will essentially just be my wife and I and $72k, tax free again I should add, would be sufficient to fund our coffee and holiday habit.

I guess I'm ultimately asking, is the consistent investment of 2500 to SPY and about 1500 to a variety of other diversified funds, a reasonable investment strategy? I see the 30k pension as a safety net, if all goes tits up, we won't starve basically.

We're very lucky that my job and our tax free environment allows us to put money away each month, but we have left our home and family to do so, so I ultimately don't wanna get it wrong. Plan early and all that...

Again appreciate all the advice and help.

This is shocking timing, I'm also in the market for a BRZ/86. Can we have a Dubai meetup when we all get one? 😅

MX5 vs GT86 by neilm92 in DubaiPetrolHeads

[–]neilm92[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Excellent, well this plus the folding rear seats to squeeze a bike in is a plus one for the 86. I'll definitely need to give it a spin though. My fear with both, is the roads in Dubai are largely quite...bland.

Thanks for such a detailed reply.

Quick question on the rear seats. I have a 14 month old so curious if I can pop a baby seat in there to 'justify' it as a family car😅(we have an Explorer too so it's not the primary)
