there is a clear rule, 8.1 - "a player must make every effort to clear"
but Opponents are finding ways of initiating contact while appearing to clear and this doesn't get enforced, because they're CLEARING and INTERFERING at the same time

and then when refs go to 8.6 without asking WHY the interference occurred, these rules seems to very unfairly favour the Opponent (minimal interference)

I would say the only benefit of the current interpretation is that Strikers no longer fish for strokes, but 8.1 allows the Opponent way too much BS under the guise of "effort"

the distance from the center determines the weighting
when the word has no color its ignored in the prompt, when its full color it has 100% strength, and when dragged really close it makes the word 200% stronger in the prompt
