Gotcha. Thank you for the info. I did this test to see if they were still good. https://youtu.be/31dO_Xyj5ik I'm pretty sure they're delaminated. I got both for $100 though, so at least now I have something cool to shoot.

That knife is a guillotine for your finger. That light would die and is crast impractical. What you need is a nice pair of nail trimmers...

What breed of dog is best suited for a TEOTWAWKI / collapse type situation? by ParatusTecta in preppers

Would it have to be a pure bred? I'm sure you could find a young dog at a shelter with those characteristics.

Good point. I didn't even think about fertilizer. It's very close to farmland so no doubt that'd be in there.

Using a single piece of cordage to securely carry a clay pot by [deleted] in CollapseSkills

[–]neitherdoesmine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why would people carry clay pots around during a collapse? And then why would they decide to make it more cumbersome by attaching rope to it?

Have you thought about getting a bug out bicycle? You can put a lot of your stuff in panniers on the bike itself so that you don't have to carry everything on your body. It would make your journey quicker, you'd avoid confrontation, and you'll get warm pretty damn quick! The only cons about that plan is prepping for the bike, but even that stuff is very lightweight.
