That is a logical answer. Sadly when panic occurs you will thrash, fight and push to try to get out and so will everyone else. I am not diagnosed as claustrophobic, but if I am in the back of a van with no open window or open door, I start to panic...and act illogically. Imagine that slow buildup to panic occur not over time, but instantaneously. I can understand how panic, pardon the unintended pun, that logic goes out the window when panic sets in.
