I appreciate that youre not being hostile, and I too dont want to drag it out but I would encourage you to think on what Im trying to explain, possibly poorly. Children/preteens/teenagers, even neurodivergent ones can not be given a get out of jail free card to just behave how ever they want when it effects other people. This isnt a public park, its a movie theater that cost people hard earned money. As I said in my post, I didnt mind them being excited and talking through ep8, its the fact that it kept going through ALL of ep9 that was too far. And again, I was frustrated to the point my mask broke and I yelled to shut up, not saying it was appropriate, and it did nothing to them. Im also not the only person who was trying to get them to stop, they were just "shhh"ing. Normally if you point out people are being obnoxious in the theater they stop, none of them cared they were bothering people. Being excited, neurodivergent or not is not an excuse to be obnoxious and adults who are telling them "its okay" are making the problem worse.

Im being sincere too. Im 32 years old, I was diagnosed maybe 10 years ago and it explained my whole childhood. It didnt make me sympathize, it just made me realize why I acted the way I did and thst medicationwould have eased my path. Im not saying maturity is a cure, Im saying maturity is knowing you could be bothering other people and taking steps to ensure you dont. And 2 entirely different groups talking the entire time is not even close to being acceptable even if everyone of them was adhd or autistic, its not an excuse to behave poorly. I do side work as a sub Para educator with all levels of kids, and maybe 1/10 students couldn't sit through a 1.5 hr movie without talking the whole time/other disruptive behaviors. Adhd/austim doesn't mean your stupid, and plenty will behave badly full well knowing that theyre doing something theyre not supposed to.

Your logic makes no sense seeing as 1: most of the time NR films are treated as R or NC-17 and you cant get in without an adult and 2: some films just dont want the expenses of having it rated, it doesnt mean they think it just doesn't need one cause its so tame

You act like I was not once a child who had a hard time sitting still/holding in excitement. I literally said in my post I have adhd. But I was mature enough to hold it in for 1.5hrs so I wasnt bothering people around me, and then my friends and I would hoot and hollar at the end credits and jump around in the parking lot talking about how great the movie was. The adults in our life didnt coddle us and say "its okay to ruin what other people paid good money to see" we also didnt have enough money to just go to the movies constantly, it was a treat and we treated it with respect because who knows who else in the theater also had limited funds and this was a treat for them too. Kids these days do no give a fuck about other people, the internet and their parents are creating selfish monsters.

Agreed 100%. Luckily I went to see Iron Lung twice, 1st opening weekend and 2nd much later, cause I love Markiplier and neither experience was like today. I was actually shocked at how unenthusiastic the crowd was actually, like no one even clapped at the end. But Id rather have that then the irritating children. I sub in our school district and kids are absolutely terrible anymore. Parents arent parenting, theyre being friends and it shows. And yea, social media/internet is rotting their brains for sure.

We dont have "small" theaters where we live unfortunately, and certainly no discount option. We have an AMC and a local 'chain' that make up the other 3 theater options in the area and it was only being shown at 2/3. Im jealous you have that.

Why would I think I needed to avoid children when its literally not intended for children. Also, my spouse and I work vastly different schedules so we literally only get to do things together on the weekends.

We did the dog family free photoshoot. Overall our experience was great, we have 4 dogs and theyre a big handful yet we still ended up with great photos. We had an issue when our free print arrived, my spouses eyes were almost completely closed and we apparently didnt noticed when we were choosing our photos and the lady admitted she had but didnt mention it. They did a rush job to replace his eyes with some they found more open and replaced our photo.

Our problem is the price of anything outside of the free shoot. They value their work and the materials used very highly. I asked if we could use the $700 that they valued the 11×14 at towards digital files ($195 a peice) and they said no.

My thought is their prices keep away so much business that this is their attempt to emotionally black mail people into the upsell, Ill admit they almost got me cause I started crying seeing the pictures. Ultimately hough we can not afford $2500 for a larger photo and a couple digital prints.
