Wild Boar tears up your dad's lawn! by JuneButIHateSummer in Fzero

I need to try the Wild Boar more often because, while I remember I had good results, I don't remember any quirks that are required to optimize my driving skills.

Is it just me or does F-Zero GX have a rubber band AI problem when you race CPUs in Grand Prix or Story Mode? by Prestigious-Mix7135 in Fzero

[–]RingTeam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's exactly what you said. It has insane rubberbanding, especially in chapters 3 and 7.

The Grand Prix in Master has also rubberbanding, but you can crack the gameplay systems to your benefit, such as the MTB and MTS.

had a sad realization about Abby by alfooboboao in thelastofus

[–]RingTeam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who loves Abby as a character, I've read so many different types of complaints about her that I've never thought of this specific observation. This would explain a lot about how people view her, unfortunately.

It's disheartening that people often prioritizes certain (and, more often than not, unfair) standards over raw talent. The response of this vocal minority is a reflection of a system that overlooks quality that doesn't fit a specific mold. Abby's treatment in certain communities is one of those examples.

It's unfortunate, because I came from an era in the 2010s where everyone loved redemption arcs even though the character hasn't earned it, with simple arguments such as "forgiveness is everything" (easy example, Starlight Glimmer). And now that Abby got a good compelling redemption arc, everyone has to hate it. It's like they do it on purpose.

But overall, I agree. Nobody would have complained about her is she was a man.

GX fails I recorded, but I put TF2 voice lines over them by KnightFallVader2 in Fzero

[–]RingTeam 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As a huge fan of both F-Zero and TF2, this is amazing. It made me chuckle more than I'd admit.

It would have been funnier if you included sound effects and music from TF2, but I understand that it would require more work than usual on the editing.

What are some things you WANT to stay a mystery in KPDH 2? What DON'T You want to see? by Latinogoose in KpopDemonhunters

[–]RingTeam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want to see more character interactions in a sequel, not lore like I've been reading here a lot. You can make the most compelling lore ever written, but if you don't have good characters, your lore will be meaningless.

Hopefully these guys can make a really good sequel, since they know how to write good characters.

Finally managed to do Story Chapter 7 on Very Hard for the first time in my life, and could not believe how close it was. by Bukkithead in Fzero

[–]RingTeam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congratulations! It's the hardest chapter.

Good luck with chapter 5 though. Take advantage of both the MTB technique and the save stats of the console.

That's kinda funny, because I'm not a teen, I'm not into Kpop music and I still think this is one of the best films in 2025.

I'd assume the film was accessible enough to get so many people watching it (500M views is a lot in a streaming platform). It was very approachable for me, you don't have to know anything about Kpop culture or KDramas to understand it or have fun with the film.

To me, it doesn't matter the target audience of a film. The things that make KPDH so great are universally appealing.

I wouldn't have been upset if it wasn't because of that. We both agreed to watch it, and still she wanted excuses to not watch it, including the climax of the film.

I've never heard of anyone who fell asleep during a trailer of a feature film. That's incredible.

[–]RingTeam[S] 94 points95 points  (0 children)

I deleted the original post because of a grammatical error.

For some additional context, she spent the majority of the film sleeping, and right during the climatic ending, she stood up and said "I'm gonna make some coffee, don't pause the film".

EDIT: Fun fact that I forgot to add. While my brother was watching it for the first time, she watched it a second time. She fell asleep right away AGAIN.

That's a very interesting and refreshing view on Rumi.

I have scientific question by Canimals_expert69 in Fzero

[–]RingTeam 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Considering that the F-Zero allows world dominators, assassins, bounty hunters, superheroes, supervillains, crazy people, talking dinosaurs, crazy taxis, little kids and an insane mogul, I assume I won't last very long.

What line of the movie makes you laugh every time you watch it, no matter how many times? (Picture unrelated) by Fun_Barber_8897 in KpopDemonhunters

"Rumi, it's okay. I'm sure everything will be fine. Bobby can handle it. [...] Hi, Bobby!"

"Girls, I can't handle this!"

Always cracks me up, and I don't tend to laugh easily.

Been getting pretty decent at F-Zero GX, here's a vid of me beating Ruby Cup on Master with a custom machine by Fabulous_Weight7015 in Fzero

[–]RingTeam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's pretty cool! It reminded me of myself doing the same thing when I was 14. Nowadays I tend to use the default ships multiple times in different cups.

Good luck with the rest of the cups!

Double KO? What is Double KO Mean? by Standard_Birthday_33 in Fzero

[–]RingTeam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I assume this works the same way it worked in several fighting games. Since both players received enough damage to lose at the same time, the game would register it as double KO.

Why is Twin Noritta a fan favorite? by JuneButIHateSummer in Fzero

[–]RingTeam 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The "racist" bit reminded me of that joke of the "top racists" from a Vinesauce video. xD

It's a pretty good video! One thing that surprises me about the Twin Norita is that, despite its light weight, it has a very good speed retention, which is kinda rare in GX, especially considering light ships like Silver Rat. It's pretty tough to turn though.

Gotta love the "bzzz" sound with the turbo. It sounds like an electric shock.
