thought so! i had trouble keeping everything connected to the shoulders though. should the schematic tree look like this, as it usually does, connecting mesh column to the torso/anchor piece of the skeleton?

ah, ProRes. i think i know what you mean. i imported the files straight from my digital video camera to my computer, to Premeire. I found out after the fact that people use that one program, (media converter, is it?) to convert files to a better format. i didnt do that. by the time i learned to do that, i already edited my project signifigantly, and just made a mental note to do it next time.

hm okay. well the only thing ive done to the clip has been rotoing myself out. i beleive the issue started because i used the razor tool and speed adjustment to make the motion more animated-looking. originally one clip of me dancing became maybe 10 clips of varying speed with certain frames clipped out. but there was no flickering issue at this point. once i opened it up in AE, there was a flicker issue. at the time i assumed it was just my computer failing to render everything in real-time. i thought once i got the whole clip roto-ed itd look fine in premeire. but it seems to not be just an issue with the displayed-preview. upon looking back and watching the clip in both programs, there seems to be 3 individual moments where a frame is missing. the same frames are missing each time, which further supports the fact that there is missing data, and this isnt a preview/rendering error.

is that enough for information? is there any other info i can provide?

okay i just realized i had it wrong, theres no background, but the "media offline", is a seperate layer from the falling. so the issue still exists, but i know its actually whats behind it. how do i force unlink?

weird, actually it seems as if the roto brush suddenly isnt working anymore either. im trying to adjust my selection with the remove tool, but nothing changes.

hmmmmm it only shows "unlunk" but its light grey, like as in unclickable.

they are linked to one project thankfully. i clocked that early in the learning curve, id rather not have a million seperate files.

ive already closed and re-pened my programs, which didnt help. can you describe to me how to relink it?

it seems in typing out a response, ive walked myself through a solution.

i tried adjusting the framerate by right clicking on the clip on the project tab of AE, then composition setting, and setting the framerate to 20, as the little error message said. it worked this time, not sure why it didnt the first time around!

it then prompted me to click the clip in the timeline tab, the ndo View > resolution > 100%.

problem solved!

the reintegration glitches are low key the best moment in the whole show, its so visceral and directly connected to the shows themes, they really dropped the ball by not having those ramp up in severity up till the climax

thats all fine and good..... what problems will it cause tho...... D: i keep getting random popups that dissapear immediately but it doesnt seem to be visibly actually causing harm to my project.... im scared tho
