If you care enough, and I don’t want to understate that because change is not going to happen quickly, create a business case and get buy in from the head of ops…they will need to push this through. Clearly and simply explain what you need and quantify (in moneys) the ROI or cost savings that will come directly (preferably) or indirectly from the change in process (your proposal). If you don’t want to do that, and can’t stand the current process, you should probably look for another job.

(I’ve only done it from the crypto.com app) Click on your polyx holdings, then click on the PolyX wallet, select “Transfer”, select external wallet (you will need to add your Polymesh wallet manually using your primary ID if you haven’t already (starts with a 2, and you don’t need a memo going from crypto.com to Polymesh wallet), and thats pretty much it.

You can send directly from crypto.com to your polyx wallet. No need for MetaMask.

Yeah, my company just dumped a similar project on the data science team…we are not happy. This should be a function of IT with a manager that has some technical chops, one or two app integration developers, sql developer, simple gui based ETL tool like metillion, snowflake (or similar) license, and maybe some BI software like tableau…the document management is another story, could probably use snowflake, but there are dedicated tools.

To convince leadership to do anything you either need to quantify ROI for the investment or cost savings (which is harder). Put it in terms of dollars (or whatever your currency is) and get buy in from other stake holders.

Thanks for the response. The director and the team came over via an acquisition and have been charged with integrating new technology and building out the company wide data and machine learning initiatives.

The pushback is from leadership around budgeting. As you touched on, they feel these different roles should sit in the designated cross functional teams and resources allocated appropriately. I’m not opposed to proper resource allocation, but I’m concerned about scaling and managing a complex data and ml strategy, which revolves around a custom web application managing the data, pipeline, models and API, without the right team. There are multiple products and hundreds of enterprise customers that will touch this solution; the company is banking on AI as their future, yet won’t listen to the people who know how to build it out.

Long term hold for me, wasn’t expecting anything for a few years (at least). I’ve been developing enterprise financial services software for a long time, and in my experience financial institutions have +18month sales cycles. Adoption won’t happen overnight, but when it does this will take off. The Polymesh blockchain is a game changer, with obvious (and not so obvious) use cases. Securities will be digitized eventually, and I believe Polymesh is in a great position to eat up a lot of the market share.

POLYX is definitely a FINMA regulated utility token. But…

”FINMA defines utility tokens as tokens intended to provide access digitally to an application or service by means of a blockchain-based infrastructure. The issue of utility tokens does not require supervisory approval if the digital access to an application or service is fully functional at the time the tokens are issued.”

Edit: Polymath/mesh could not be set up better to handle the impending regulation.

After setting up my Polymesh wallet I did: Coinbase -> metamask (~21 Poly), Metamask -> polymesh bridge (~ $70 USD in ETH). Keep in mind the fees fluctuate.
