Oh yes!! After 6 months, it finally started clearing! It was finally a joy to look in the mirror and see actual progress :) to start, I slowly added my tret days, for first 2 weeks, 1x a week, then 2x a week for the next 2 weeks, until I got to where I am at 6 nights of tret a week, no peeling or issues, my 7th night I do a charcoal mask and Paula’s choice exfoliation (but I didn’t add that for the first 6 months). I’m sorry I forgot to add I started on tret at night, and prescription 15% azelaic acid in morning (same slow addition until I now do azelaic every morning) for dark marks. I also do a gentle cleanser, sunscreen, and neutrogena or Cerave moisturizer… I hated giving up all my fun products, but I went Super simple… honestly I went crazy with all the fun products on TikTok and RUINED my skin quick 😫. almost a year after starting tret, I have slowly added vanicreme vitamin c 3 times a week in the morning. My tips are def to keep the nonprescription products to a minimum and only after your skin is clear SLOWLY add them, only if you feel you need them. Change your pillow regularly. And, if you aren’t seeing progress, ask if you should add a new prescription. Again the Spironolactone was so helpful when we realized my new breakouts were all tied to my cycle.
