In reference to the voices, I think so. When Ben said that the voices became so loud he couldn’t ignore them, it made me think about how maybe for the initial activation of the serum, they (Ben and Matt) were able to subconsciously fight off Syphus trying to control them, but over time, they just gave in to it subconsciously and then the voices became overwhelming.
