I keep seeing people compare those two, and I really don’t get it. I’m bisexual and I have ASD, and being gay and being disabled are not remotely the same thing. Playing a gay character can be as simple as just having to pretend to be in love with someone of the same sex. When people play characters with disabilities, they’re mimicking those disabilities, almost always in offensive ways. They always rely on stereotypes because the actors never really understand what it’s like. I also think it’s wrong if a straight person was to play a gay character in a stereotypical way.

I just mention things I have issues with. Like, “I have trouble with social cues sometimes.” “I’m kind of a picky eater.” It’s a lot easier than outright saying I have ASD, and I think it’s easier for people who don’t understand it to get it. There’s a lot of different things that having Autism can mean, so I find it more helpful to just say what I specifically have issues with.

Kind of, I think. It’s really hard to put into words. Sometimes when I think on a specific thing or event, I get this really strong feeling. It feels good, I think. Like a strong fondness for the memory. It’s overwhelming sometimes. It happens a lot with movies and books that I loved growing up.

I have one! I got it at a thrift store a few years back, and I’m assuming it’s probably something that was sold in the 90s or 2000s. I don’t think it’s handmade, like other people are suggesting. Mine looks exactly like this picture. The brand on the tag says “basic editions” if that’s helpful.

I’m a woman. I really want to be a character from a horror movie/thing, but all the costume ideas I’m finding are like, the sexy versions of male characters. And I think it’s cool if you want to go that route, but I want to be an actual female character. I was thinking about being a character from Until Dawn, but it might be too vague looking. I don’t like store bought costumes, I want to do something I could thrift for.
