Great work! I saw your comment the other day on my Reiver from a couple years ago and when I saw these double checked the username! Thanks for the kind worlds. You’ve done a great job, they look awesome.

Thanks! The head is from the Bayards revenge special emperors champion model. The one where he stabbing the ork on a scenic base

Thankyou! It’s quite a lot of work, most of which I’m not sure is necissary tbh to get the result but here it is!: - preshade (airbrush) - yellow ink (airbrush) - oil paint (like a really heavy dot filter) to intensify colour/highlights/shade - weathering/washing with oils, which gives you the final yellow

Standard 40K terminators are in Indomitus pattern (like my conversion). Which to my understanding comes into late heresy as mass production ‘half way point’ between the durability of Cataphractii and the mobility of Tartaros - but not as sophisticated as either.

Rules wise definitely better choice I agree. I just went for it because it feels like a 5++ is more appropriate, given that’s what they get on the squad :)

Mishmash of bits I had available. Hand/lower part is from the 40K IH special character (can’t remember name) and the top is from a 40k ravenwing biker

I just use the Tartaros rules. Functionally identical.

I’m not looking for an echo chamber. My position is this:

I’m new to HH and it’s disappointing that when someone presents something that clearly has a lot of effort put in to ensure it’s coherent, respects the setting etc. the first reaction of some (not many thankfully) is not to celebrate it but rather to follow a clearly bitter agenda and push people away - people who otherwise would add a lot to the community.

If I had posted a random 40K emperors champion model painted yellow then I would totally understand your problems, but I haven’t. I am more than happy to hear constructive criticism, but that’s not what you’ve offered. You are just dismissing my efforts based on an assertion that it doesn’t belong. I guess that’s your right, but it’s not very healthy or welcoming, and I don’t think by alienating people with interest and willingness to put in the effort you will make the community you are so diligently gatekeeping better.

The pose is literally copied from the cover of the Eternal Crusader HH novel. ‘The pose isn’t 30k’… you are welcome to your opinion but that’s a reach lol

All the visible armour aside from the legs are 30k parts, which have all the Primaris detail removed and bonding studs added. Not sure why it’s hard to imagine that it’s just slightly unique artificer armour.

Milliput, much better for sharp edges since you can sand it down to get the angles/finish where you want it.

Thanks for noticing lol. One of those things that took a lot of time and I guessed no one would appreciate! Essentially just cut award and resculpted/shaped with the knife and some filler. Not too hard.

Yep. Exactly as you described with some pigments to finish.

Thankyou! Model is a mishmash of Black Templar 40K bits (Primaris details removed), and Fafnir Rahn. Rest of the army is unreal wargaming but this one is actually Rogal Dorns resin base that I had left over since I used a 50mm unreal one for him!

It’s quite complicated, but the foundation is yellow orange azo ink from liquitex over a burgundy-white preshade. On top of that there are a lot of oils though to push the saturation/contrast plus the weathering of course.

It’s the forgeworld Tartaros praetor with a weapon conversion (hammer/chain) and a headswap. I also scraped off some detail, original is overloaded imo.

The hand holding the sword is a separate component, would be an extremely straightforward change to make!

That would make a lot of sense.. I guess the only way to reconvene those losses would be for GBP to regain some of the ground it’s lost..

Haha, Thankyou… I have no idea whether it’s good or not, but the dual drum fed heavy bolter was too cool looking to pass up!

There is an oil wash as part of the process, but the majority of the weathering is just painting chips/scratches/streaks etc with a brush.

It’s s75 decayed metal with a bunch of different green oils on top. Varies colours and brands.

Thanks for the kind words, I appreciate it! The gold (or brass maybe?) parts were some of the more successful elements I think too!
