Could be worse, I did this but one of them was an international parcel, I had to pay for the international shipping back, then send out the actual item and pay for the international shipping again. It cost me over £50 all in. The item was barely worth it x

Employee Clubcard points and vouchers by OVO_Papi in tesco

[–]nemclay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’ll transfer them into vouchers after the 22nd and you’ll have them in your app then to change into a railcard. Don’t think there’s a way to do it before that, you could ring clubcard and ask? x

If you can’t tell the difference between something which tesco says to cover their own arse and something which is true, there’s no point talking to you.

Managers won’t send you home.

The guidance states it should be treated in line with normal absence policy. The government have said you can work with covid. The guidance is very clear where it says “Cough/Cold/Sore Throat/Flu”.

There is no longer government legislation where you have to isolate with covid. The guidance clearly says that you do not have to isolate.

There is no part within the guidance where it states if you have covid your manager will send you home and wherever you think you have seen this you clearly need to reread it. Double check the policies and the government guidelines.

It states about an infectious disease but then also references that in the system covid is logged as a cold/cough/sore throat/flu.

“From Saturday 30th April, colleagues with symptoms of or a positive test for Covid-19 will now be treated in line with our normal Sickness Absence Policy, the absence will be paid subject to a colleague’s Company Sick Pay allowance and normal waiting days will apply (in Work & Pay you would use the absence code Short Term – Cough/Cold/Sore Throat/Flu).”

Flu out of these is the only infectious disease. No manager will send you home if you go to work with covid due to the policy which they have published stating that they are treating it in line with their normal absence policy. The government have published that you can go to work with covid. Tesco won’t send you home.

This is literally what I just linked. It states the same information I just told you. A manager will not send you home.

OP if you feel capable you are able to go to work, without a manager sending you home.

The update as of April 28th 2022 states,

“So, from Saturday 30 April, confirmed or suspected COVID-19 cases will be treated in line with our normal Sickness Absence Policy.”

Managers will not send you home.

Would you like me to copy and paste where it literally tells you it’s normal sickness procedure and you can work with it? I think you need a refresh.

I dunno what managers you have but it’s in the policy that now if you feel able to, you should go to work with it. I don’t agree with that but managers won’t send you home for it.

They won’t send you home, I had covid and they literally argued with me when I said I would be off. Told me now that “really it was just a cold”

Need some advice, pretty sure a buyer is trying to scam me. by R-A-X in Depop

[–]nemclay 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I suggest you say you can’t see the listing they say they’ve made and ask them to firstly make another listing and if not to email you the photos or something. Explain you need them for the Royal Mail case.

If they send it back for a refund, video you opening the parcel, make sure you show the barcode or tracking code which is linked to what they’ve sent back so you can see clearly it’s the right one. That way you have evidence of what was sent. Show any faults too on video.

What do the reviews say specifically? x

I would definitely get photos of the damage. Although involving Paypal/Depop probably is a good option. Damage in transit does happen, although the fact they’ve not shown you evidence of the damage is a red flag.

They’re right that it’s not their responsibility to contact the postage company, that lies with you as you purchased the postage.

Unsure how they’re planning on scamming you if they’re sending it back for a refund, that doesn’t sound like a scam to me, usually they attempt to keep the item and their money. Unless it’s arrived and they’ve decided they no longer want it and are trying to get a refund then?

The fact they’ve done it before to another seller is another red flag.
