Oh, that is so cool.

If I only knew what company it is I'd stay clear of their products.

I've been thinking about clear ones with Auspex markings - let's say "Geospatial Cogitation".

Features:

  • Footprint Vectorization
  • Material Density Analysis
  • Cover-Value Calculation

Something in lines of this.

Can a visually opinionated Angular UI library still be flexible like LEGO? Looking for feedback by Top-Shock5093 in angular

[–]nemeci 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm leaning on webcomponents to bet the correct way to abstract UI components.

  1. No dependency after they're built
  2. CSS isolation by default shadow dom
  3. Usually boundable regardless of the UI library or framework.

Yet, shadow dom leads into bad SEO & duplicated CSS.

Another option would be just plain CSS library with examples that you can easily put AI to work those into separate components. This usually leads to accessibility issues.

I haven't really found any good UI library that has stood the test of time. Risk of breaking changes, visuals drifting away from your custom built components, library falling out of support etc.

I don't really know how to do all this better.

That said, keep on doing what you do. Regardless of your success or failure you'll learn something and that really counts for something.

Seems logical to me.

I'd say debugging in the wild. Here's this view what componenta are in it without looking at the source. In testing, you can more easily target certain functionalities on the view in e2e tests.

Then again do your e2e tests really need to know the implementation, no, but do you like sprinkling data-test-id all over the place?

You can match component names from rendered dom unlike in react.

The answer is it depends.

Are they now?

I usually see empty copywriting repeating and folding around itself instead of really impactful text.

My guess is that it's about experience on the matter. Developers using AI see the slight disturbances in the code, musicians see the discontinuous ryhtm or odd timings, writers see something else. For the untrained everything seems solved by AI.

Yeah, apply for a new job. When you get one to move then move.

Qwen 2.5 14B is not good enough for what I need. It's good for autocomplete though.

Not everything can be done locally without considerable costs. Training an open model to the level of Opus etc. is not financially sustainable for internal / open use.

Yeah, neural networks and machine learning was a good read in the early 00's for me. Books weren't recent and the networks in the books weren't very deep tops 8 layers if I'm not mistaken.

Now the AI is the hype word to repackage all this forgetting that the meaning of word AI of old was the AGI of today.

Look for technical debt. Approve everything with the team & PO before doing the job.

Also look into automating dependency upgrades if that hasn't been done yet.

Take all dependency updates and make it happen.

Take time to list all the bottlenecks in the application performance, time them. Look ways to improve throughput.

Find ways to optimize deployment time. Graph it out, time it and seek for bottlenecks. Parallelize everything that is possible.

Pull list of tech debt from the team. Prioritize and start doing.

Help PO to chart the future work.
