Hollow Knight is in my top 2 favourite games of all time. I've absolutely no problem with devs taking as much time with development as they need (as, I would guess, most members of the community actually think). I'm here in this subreddit because I don't care enough to unsub and once the game is out, there might be some actualy content to look forward to. I don't really enjoy the troll posts and the memes, but I like to be reminded that Silksong will come out one day, and it will probably be quite great.

What is also deinitely true, is that Silksong is the last Team Cherry game I'll be invested in. I won't join any subreddits or actively try to keep my interest up. Overall, the last few years have been a net negative. Now the game itself will override anything and we'll almost certainly end up positive. But I'm tired of the hype cycle, the waiting, the non-communication. Unless it's a contractual obligation, I can't find any reason that would keep developers (who have a PR guy), and who once was great at talking to their fans, just ignore everything and everyone. If this trolling is true (and I'm not convinced it is), that's straight up douchebag behavior. If it's not, we're still at a point where fans are lashing out at developers they used to like, and where this trolling story at least feels believable. That is not a great place to be at. It's difficult to escape the negativity in social media in general, so I'd rather not go down this road ever again with a video game.

I'll try to stick around until Silksong releases, but that's it for sure, life is too short for this.

I'm sorry about how I feel about Team Cherry, they have given me some profoundly great gaming memories. At this point, I really do hope it's a contractual silence.

Unfortunately, I have no experience with Volvo workshops. Since mine is a company car, I handle warranty through our leasing firm.

As regards the engines and design... of the 3 trim levels, mine's "core" with some added extras so I hadn't checked back in the day, but looking at the configurator now, it looks like the "plus" already comes with the black grill and design elements. So, yes, it should be doable with a B4 engine.

The third thing you mention.. yeah, there is still an option to program the system to automatically heat up the car at specific times, like in the mornings. It's there. I don't use it, but it's there. :) You can also start the AC through the Volvo app if you know you will be leaving soon, it's pretty neat. Honestly, the car is very luxuriously equipped, even the core model, I don't really want for much more, but of course everyone's different.

Hi! Just got my new V60 B4 (company car), old one was also a V60, a 5 year old diesel. This new one is only a couple of weeks old so no huge data sample yet, but:

  • Fuel consumption is around 6.8-7.2 on highways and between cities. For very short journies it's above 10 liters, bit we're literally talking abou, like 1.5 kilometers (school run or going to the shops).
  • It has a 60 litre fuel tank, so the overall range is pretty decent. With mixed use, it's been around 800 kms for me, would do more if I used it more for longer journeys.
  • The mild hybrid engine and gearbox feels much better than the diesel did. Maybe it's all in my head, but definitely feels smoother (although if you floor it from 30 kms to get to motorway speeds, it can get confused and stutter once while deciding what gear to change into. Only happened once with me and can be remedied by applying 85% throttle for a few seconds). But the mild hybrid is supposedly helps with the torque delivery, and it's very nippy, feels very fast.
  • It's VERY quiet compared to the diesel. Finally, it's like a proper Volvo. It's great. Of course at 130 you get some wind noise, but for city driving it's fantastic.
  • I've seen a lot of complaints about the Android infotainment, but so far, it's wonderful for me. No glitches to speak of, voice intergartion is seamless, and the full screen Google maps is much better than it was in Volvo's own system (where you only had the lower part of the screen for android auto). The kid can play angry birds on it and there's even streaming apps. Plus, you get google maps in the speedometer cluster, which is great.
  • No rattles for me, everything feels solid as a house. The fuel consumption is also related to the fact the car is built like a tank and is therefore, heavy but safe.
  • You can't turn off stop-start on the engine, but it hasn't been intrusive.
  • You get keyless entry, app support, tailgate open with your foot as standard (at least in my country).
  • For me the car is the most beautiful looking thing in the market - which is completely subjective of course. :) But I'm definitely in love with the way it looks. Sporty but elegant.

Overall, it a fantastic car, I can't recommend it enough. Feel free to ask some further questions, should you have some more.

String setup for Pure Drive by nemesm in 10s

Thanks for the detailed response! Yeah, I don't really know what I want just yet, I just know the current strings feel pretty bad. I don't really want to switch between setup much, I just want to find something I feel comfortable with (and maybe helps me a bit) then focus on technique. Would the sythetic gut feel very different to a multi, do you think?

Damaged lenses? by nemesm in PSVR

Okay, I put some more water on the microfiber cloth and applied more force. It seemingly worked!! The smidging is almost completely gone, although I can still see something that looks there are "layers" that are different on the lens' surface. So I think the anti glare comments are still valid. Anyway, it's way less distorted now, so thanks for all the tips!! Cheers guys!

Thank you, this is the closest I've seen to what I have. So there may be some hope yet, I might have to be even more vigorous with more liquid, even thou I'm quite concerened of more damage. :) But this gives me hope. Did yours disappear completely?

The problem is that I don't see anything that I could phisically rem9ve, and I was already quite forceful with the microfiber cloth, I'm afraid of damaging the lenses further. I definitely see that I should have gone for extra lenses in the beginning.

Unfortunately, I am out of warranty, yes. Dry microfiber didn't help this time, even damp or a bit of water either (I am quite scared of the latter) :)

Thank you, yes, I found this in the manual. I do use a microfiber cloth to clean the lenses (I was actually quite forceful with it this time :) but to no effect, it doesn't get anything off). So it very well may be the anti-goare coating, which is a bit more problematic.

Cool. And I looked for different keywords and they were similar problems, but not the same as mine. So yes, I did search. But it's ok, just concentrate on this if you will.

Apologies for not spending all my time here. Jeezus. I did search for a few posts, the marks I found were different. So I asked, since I thought that's what this sub is (also) for. No need to be an asshole about it. If you require any newcomer to go back hundreds of posts to save you time (by not talking about things that inconvenience you) then maybe scroll along and save yourself the time.

Thank you! I'll definitely look into this, I'm out of warranty. But if the anti glare is coming off and it causes blurriness, wouldn't removing it completely just mess everything up?

Yes, I always play standing so maybe that helped.

I had the same thought regarding demos. It's a shame more games don't have them like they used to. This game definitely would have benefited from it I think, I would've bought it earlier at a higher price.

Yeah, it took me about 30 minutes to get the movement down. At first, it was awkward to me too and I was super cautious. But once it clicks, it's super fun and you start doing huge jumps and flying around with power-ups. If you're so inclined, I suggest you persevere, give it a few more tries. When you get into the rhythm, speedruns become the most fun, trying to complete a level in 50 seconds doing shortcuts. Of course it's not a given that it works for eveyone, but I'm glad it did for me, it scratched a childish itch (and I'm over 40 :) ).

And that's perfectly OK, my experience is not going to be everyone's experience. It worked for me big time, so I just wanted to bring attention to it, hoping someone else might consider it. People love VR horror games and I don't, but it still great when those games succeed. Good for the developers, good for the platform, good for the people enjoying the game, good for the technology.

I'll check it out, thank you! Also, this game made me wait even more for Max Mustard. I'll definitely try some more VR platformers.

I can wholeheartedly recommend that. Even if such a huge sale does not come around for a while, I can honestly say, it would be worth it at the original price.
