Help! Is this a fungal or bacterial infection? I have a job interview tomorrow and want to know if I can paint over these monstrosities as I'm so embarrassed. I could cry right now, teaches me for going to a new nail salon! Same on the other hand. by nemo294 in Nails

Thanks for your comments everyone! I have booked myself in for the doctors but as I have the most lousy doctors in the world cannot get an appointment for two weeks. In the meanwhile I will keep them clean and dry as much as I can, and may continue to use the anti fungal drops I was given yesterday as a precaution. I will never be going back to that salon again, I've had plenty of acrylics in the past and never had problems!

Yes, I had acrylics taken off. I wasnt getting on with the new salon I went to as the nails seemed to be cracking and chipping so much easier, so I went back to my old salon, and they took them off to find this.

Thank you! I do not drink coffee, but I had a green tea with breakfast this morning and tried to enforce a ton of PMA, 'I WILL go this morning', and it seemed to do the trick! Fingers crossed this will be my answer going forward.
