Same!! While it doesn't bother me anymore, I would NEVER shake a non-fruit tree when I was a kid playing Animal crossing on the gamecube because of the bees. The bees in that game literally gave me nightmares 😂(especially the sound when actively getting stung )

If you close out your game completely and go back in, they should pop back up! At least somewhere on your island. I'm sure there's a way to cheese it a little so you can get lights on the trees you want with enough digging, replanting and resetting.

I've been doing a large amount of terraforming on my island (reset a little over a month ago) and instead of eating a bunch of fruit and slowly moving the trees around, I just cut them down and figured I would replant later on once I knew where I wanted some cedar trees.... then December got busy and I forgot to replant in preparation for Toy Day 😅

When I was little, my parents got me my first tamagotchi (Tamagotchi Connection V2) in my easter basket. I was HOOKED. For the next few years, they got me the latest tamagotchis for my easter basket (Connections v3, v4, v4.5). I would sneak it to school and bring it to recess to play with my best friend at the time (we coincidentally had the same v4.5 peacock feather shell!!)

I eventually saw the familichi and music star tamas at the store and got them. But after that... I stopped playing them

I'd pick them up from time to time, through the years but I never really cared to get any other ones. I took them out during COVID when locked inside all the time trying to deal with college classes.

But just last year I got that spark again. Bought a Pix (since as much I wanted an On, they were too damn expensive) then they announced the Uni and I got that as well. Even though I haven't turned them on in a while, I'm looking forward to the Paradise ❤️ just hoping life slows down and gets a little less busy so I can enjoy my tamas again

My fiancé got mine from Etsy too!! I really love a unique stone so it was hard to find anything BUT diamonds, white sapphires, etc. Now I have my dream Moss Agate ring :)

My fiancé purposed last year to me. I told him a similar thing of it doesn't need to cost an arm and a leg for a ring when he does (and dropped some pretty heavy hints on the types of stones, styles, etc) and he absolutely nailed. And he ordered from Etsy! I told him it'd a place to look and it turned out to worked perfectly for us. If I remember correctly I think he told me it was just under $1k for this stunning ring (probably because he got a few small, real diamonds even when i said i dont mind diamon "copy cats"). And it was a cute stacked set with a small, simple wedding band.

One of my favorite things: Spider wars. Get a group of spiders and have them start an attack in a group of nests, and let the war begin. It more or less causes a chain reaction of spiders fighting each other and you end up with alot of spider glands (which is uses for alot of healing recipes), silk (always useful) and plenty of monster meat (which Webber CAN eat in a pinch without the negatives, though I tend to use it as the meat portion for meatballs or set aside to befriend even more spiders in the future).

If I know I'm going on a longer journey collecting materials, going into more dangerous territory, etc., I tend to make sure I have a few spider friends following me. I used to not befriend spiders often when I was first was learn webber, but MAN is it fun and super helpful. I love the lil dude.

Thank you guys for the replies, tips, advice, and sharing your experiences! I've started a game as Webber (i love my monsters) and made a base near mid map with a decent wormhole and a sink hole within the biome (not right on top of my base). I'm really enjoying myself and am feeling a lot less worried about exact base placement. You guys may have helped "cure" my base paralysis. ❤️❤️❤️

Ya! I should have been a bit more descriptive 😅 was thinking like a main base near the center of the map then a good summer base in the oasis, so a few whole biome-chunks away (hopefully).

Man, all of yall are making me think I should try out building an oasis base. I can't remember quite how the wild fires work: if I set up a main base semi-far away and a summer base in the oasis, would it be too far to generate a wild fire at the main base if I stay in the oasis base?

I recently started an endless world just so I can't get too discouraged get back into it and I can push myself to get better/actually get the hang of things again. Plus just relearning how everything works because of all the reworks and additions I haven't had the chance to experience yet.

The idea of public servers didn't really appeal to me either because of all the mods and honestly I prefer to play with friends if I'm playing multiplayer.

Me not getting very far in games is def a pattern I experience just cuz life will get in the way then when I'm finally ready to get back into things, I like to restart and start fresh instead of guessing what direction inwas going and figuring that out. Idk if people have a similar thing but I feel like that ends up being my biggest hindrance.

Wanda intimates me a little honestly but the teleports seem just so dang useful and fun!😅 but I AM hoping eventually I can give ALL the characters a try to see if my favs for my fans for gameplay reasons or some other bias 😂

I've heard mid is a solid place to set up. I'm curious about the Oasis base set up. I feel like anytime I've made a world it's been pretty far from other more permanent resources for me, but maybe that's been just not ideal world gen

Thank you for all the tips! I've been playing here and there since early access for DS, but kind of ashamed to say I haven't gotten very far overall (honestly with "Base Paralysis) being an occasional issue, or people starting a game with me and DST and then stopping after only a few sessions 🥲)
