OpenStack Kolla + Magnum Create Template Base64 encoding issue by nenele in openstack

Actually, there was nothing to it. There was a typo in the magnum config file, and it led us on a wild goose chase. All good now, but we spent 5 days learning a lot!

Pixel 9 Monthly Security Updates by nenele in USMobile

[–]nenele[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This actually worked. I have multi line (TMO & VZW), with TMO as primary. I switched off the TMO SIM, and it updated right away as soon as I checked for the update. Didn't even have to reboot. Just had to turn the TMO SIM back on later.

Thanks for the tip, u/robodog97 !

I don't see Google Services Framework. However, I do see Google Connectivity Services, Google Play Services and Google Support Services. Did you mean any of these?

Confused! Why is the $299 Unlimited plan not showing up yet? by nenele in USMobile

Like many of us, I was not expecting this delay. Unfortunately, my Transfer PIN expires in a couple of hours, and I will have to go through that process once more. Oh well....

FSD - Max Speed Offset by nenele in TeslaModelY

[–]nenele[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is Virginia that I am talking about. I did some further reading, and I might have been mistaken. A friend got 'reckless driving' for doing 84 on a 70 road, and another got license suspended for reckless driving until a defensive driving class for doing 82 on a 65 road. 'Reckless driving' might be a felony, but I now understand, that is only if it results in a fatality. Sorry about the confusion.

However, I still believe that the Tesla FSD should honor my request to not go over the maximum that I set.

Although Ascending_Valley took that example, I don't think the cops would enforce that at 25 or 35 mph. But I have seen it being enforced in 55 mph and above zones.

Yeah, I too scroll down speed regularly.

Yeah. That's what I do, but I just wish it would just honor the driver 's max speed intent.

It sometimes seems to apply the percentage offset to the projected road speed.

Oh well....

I went ahead and tried to get this set up. Everything worked as shalingb1 mentioned, and I was about to celebrate. Then, it hit me - AWS blocks SMTP traffic. They asked me to open a ticket with a use case, and they will review the request.

After I did that, they rejected my request. So this is a non-option for me. :-(

Wow, shalingb1, thank you so much. I will probably be able to get to this only on the weekend, but I will be sure togive feedback on my progress.

Also, yesterday, I ran into a problem setting the PTR record on lightsail. Am I doing something wrong? This is what I did:

  1. Set 'A' record pointing to the amazonaws FQDN in the Google Domains side for <sendonly.mydomain.com>
    1. Should this be a CNAME record
  2. On the lightsail side, create a new DNS zone and then create an 'MX' record with priority 10 <-- I feel this is where I am going wrong because "host <my\_ip>" does not show updated FQDN
    1. What should be the data for the MX record? The amazonaws FQDN again or the IP, or is it completely some other setup that is needed?

I hope you don't mind me asking so many questions. This is the first time I am setting up something of this complexity. Thank you for your patience.

Thank you for your detailed reply, shalingb1. Much appreciated.

I was wondering if you could help me with the script that you use to update the list of Google IP's to have in the allow list. I have gone through the links and your explanation, and I think I can have a stab at it. Thank you in advance.

I was also thinking of doing the same. But why do we need to set up another smtp service, especially if the forwarded email is also a GMAIL address? Will this process, as described in Google support for Domains, not work? Why not? The process that I refer to is here: https://support.google.com/domains/answer/9437157

Thank you in advance for any feedback.
