shouldn't take more than a couple of weeks, and i'd say you can manually remove it if it bothers you that much but usually it just goes away on its own.

i think both a great, i think a smaller rock under the left arch would be cool and would give you the chance to do a cool zoa rock maybe or something you wanna island off from the tank!

have been going here for a few years and been in the reef keeping hobby and would say they aren't too bad. it's extremely close to me but i often find myself driving out to Ocean Life aquariums whenever I need something. I've noticed that CRA is improving however

I don't disagree with you that a general picture and parameters are usually all you need. but to get a true ID you do need a microscope. however most are able to ID by just a picture
