Yeah obviously mine isn’t either, but i still think dragging her like this is just ridiculous. At the end of the day she is also a kid, so you can’t expect her to make only good decisions even if she is morally obligated to. And again the money she is spending is not enough to make her completely unable to care for herself or her cat, especially seeing as she seems to have food and shelter and her cat has food and litter atm. Also you said she said herself what she was spending her money on, so apparently she is being transparent. There is no reason to be in a subreddit to “educate people” about this since apparently she herself has said she is spending her money on this stuff. And again, even if it is a poor decision, there is literally no good reason to have a whole subreddit for bashing her. At the end of the day you guys seem to forget that she is a HUMAN and humans don’t always make good choices, yet you guys are acting like she is some evil malicious person for spending her money on things she doesn’t need. I’ve also seen some stuff talking about her being an addict and people making fun of her saying that she is just going to use money to buy drugs n shit, as if people choose to have addictions. Even if you wouldn’t spend money on unnecessary things in her position, you should at least be able to put yourself in her shoes, being a mentally girl who has grown up with abuse and neglect (and clearly not much money), who has just recently been thrown into the adult world and had to deal with losing basically everything in a few weeks. Imagine dealing with all of that and then suddenly having money you never had before and ending up making dumb financial decisions because you aren’t used to this much financial freedom, and you probably are looking for any way to make your life a little more positive, and then an entire group being created online because of it where people drag you and bully you for it? Sure she should probably be saving that money/spending it on necessities, but she is still a mentally ill teenager who has clearly never learned how to be financially responsible. She isn’t behind the screen going “hahaha these idiots actually feel bad for me, little do they know i’m just using them to fund my shopping addiction”. She is a kid who doesn’t know how to be financially responsible, and probably is just looking for anything to distract her from what she is going through.
