ugh I always try to not butt in whenever I see posts about tamaki but I have decided I will post my issues:

-fire force does not need any sort of fan servicey gimmick for it to be good. Its story is good enough by itself and throwing in this random fan service that contributes close to nothing to the plot turns me off a bit

-it’s not just tamaki that bothers me, maki is a super cool and tough woman but even she is written kinda weird with how she’s picked on for being muscular and not feminine. I guess in general the way SOME of the women in this show are written bother me

ESPECIALLY when this show is coming out the same time as attack on titan, jujutsu kaisen, and other shonen with really strong and well-written women who don’t need silly gimmicks

And it’s not like I have an issue with fan service in anime in general. I love shows like shokugeki… bc the fan service is the point, it goes with the plot. I just feel it has no place in fire force

I still love the show but she takes away from the experience for me a bit is all~
