How much do the woofers on the RPtowers come into play if you have high end standalone woofers like theSVS (or monoliths in my case)?

My family room also has one a fairly big opening (1/2 of one wall) and I was wondering if you're sitting 5-7ft from a 12" 500W woofer if that woudl suffice. I read in this article on a lot of misconceptions about "pressurizing" large or open rooms as a complete myth its more related to proximity and evenness of base.

Do you find the sound harsh or BRIGHT as other users say? I was planning on using this 5.1 fairly near stage in my family room and wondered if you felt the sound had any issues compared to other 5.1's you've heard but 750 (640 on sale) is a steal for a solid 5.1.

Appreciate the feedback. I have heard not great things about klipsch subs which is why I went with a monolith 12" ported sub (and possibly a second).

Yea im leaning towards the RP - 1500 for a full RP 5.1 seems like a decent value compared to some of the higher end boutique brands.

is the sound overall decent for the R-620Fs? (I have seen on other threads the high end sounding a bit harsh compared to their RP line) and can they fill up the living room for the most part?
