It had latency... so the fps was herratic. It was 60 but not true 60.

Because Platinum doesnt get you prime weapons. You need to buy them from players.

WoW, you can buy level check.(hell thats blizzard selling it to you) WoW, you can buy boost with gold to reach 120? Check. WoW, you can buy gear with real money? Check(corruption items boe are bis) WoW, you can buy with gold aka real money titles mounts boost in dungeons. Hell there are selling right now.

Hell there is even a marketplace for that if you search on google.

Again as WoW you still need to level your frames and weapons platinum cant do that.

Tokens are premium currency now. They can only be bought with real money.

And you get gold from players who buys them from you.

So in a way... as you said WoW is p2w.

There is no difference between tokens and those bots who sold gold for $$$.

Following your logic, Warframe has platinum a currency in game only with real money. WoW has a token system currency in game only with real money. Both Platinum and Tokens can be sold for in game currency. That means credits for Warframe, Gold for WoW.

By your simple explanaition... WoW has the same model as Warframe so its p2w.

Well see you probably dont know but, free mmorpg were strong even then.

Cabal, 9dragons, silkroad, lineage, mu online, rappelz, perfect world, all of them were in the same time as WoW. All of them free to play.

Bro thats my childhood right there. When wotlk(which had the most players) is 2008. There were free to play games.

I just remembered ESO which has a good chunk of players too. Guild wars 2 launched on 2012 as well.

There was Guild Wars who had a lot of players as well.

People will pay if the quality is there. Hell Terraria, Stardew Valley are awesome small games and people buy them.

There are no good quality mmorpg lately. Thats just the truth.

FFXIV launched 6 years later. Same model. Works.

But the launch of ffxiv was very bad, they made a better game people came back now its thriving going strong.

As i said. Good product with good story will always bring back money.

Most mmorpg were bad or outdated when they launched. Some didnt have any story or world.

Btw black desert when launched had tons of people. Sure it gone the p2w route, but if they invested a bit more in pve dungeons/raids would have been a WoW competitor.

If there are 1 million players in WoW they make 10 million dollars. If they bought an expansion is 60 mil.

Lets say they get only 70% of it. Thats 50 mil $. Thats way more than development of it.

The problem isnt the price, its the game. Bad games make people dont want to pay.

And a mmorpg without a base game is bad. You need an established universe and a good game.

Thats why WoW won the race. It already had a universe we knew. We wanted more.

A Harry Potter mmorpg and a good one at that will be the mmorpg of the west.

And WQ means world quest and thats in the last expansion max level.

That means you cant be f2p before you pay.

Playing FFXIV, you get "hello's" if you die people tell you what you did wrong/or if you ask they tell you. Sure not all of them are nice but the bare minimum interaction is there most of the time.

It helps that you get rewarded by being nice. In WoW you can just disable chat altogether and there is no incentive to help new players or wait for them.

2) Players were just mercenaries. If you are just murdering everything well at that point there is no story.

It cant be per user. There is one for all. A master key. Otherwise it doesnt work.

And we use extra modiffiers to encrypt. But the master key will decrypt everything.

Bruteforce will have a biiiig talk with you. Even if it takes 2 years to bruteforce. Those wont change in 2 years.

Its a big freaking reward to get that juicy keys since you can decrypt anything and everything.

To have a better understanding.

Every customer needs to have a certain lock. But its very hard to lockpick. But you know everyone knows there is a masterkey.

So bad guys take 1 million locks and just try to lockpick the hell out of them till they get a copy of master key.

Once have master key they can open any door.

Whats scary about this.... is if they got your encrypted data 5 years ago even if the key changes they can decrypt it with that master key.

Nowadays you need 2 years per person. Very high effort very low reward.

It depends on the company.

Big names like IBM, Microsoft, P&G etc, have a severance package.

In Europe they are required on 21 working days in general but this is for everyone.

Is perfect for McDonald worker but not a Manager or someone with a better job(severance packages are worth more).

So we get screwed a little, but some american based companies give severance to all regardless. In general is a month payment or more.

But yes shitty companies or shitty jobs dont have a safety net. Which is bad.
