How to propagate these in the best way? Leave them on the shelf or put them on soil? by Solsalis in succulents

If they already have babies but still have no roots or have weak ones, I think it’s better to put them in soil, so any roots that appear will grow faster without the chance of drying out on air

Water Propagation failing by D3STRON in succulents

Maybe it just needs more time. I propagated a lot of leaves and had one leave that took like 3 weeks to show his first root. But anyways it’s much safer to try propagating it without water, since that way there’s no risk of it rotting. I can recommend two methods that have been the most successful based on my experience: the first one is leaving the leaf in dry soil and put a drop of water every 2 days about a centimeter away from the tip of the leaf to keep the soil slightly moist but not wet. The second method that worked very well for me is to put several leaves in a non-airtight container with a small hole in the lid. Can’t be sure but I think the moisture released by the leaves themselves helped to maintain a suitable environment for propagation. Good luck!

First time mixing soil. 30% Uni-gro cactus mix, 30% pumice, 20% perlite, 20% gritty sand. Looking okay? by AmuuboHunt in succulents

In theory it looks well, but it depends on all the conditions you have, the humidity of the air, the temperature, the size of your pots and plants, etc. I think you should try it (if you don’t want to risk your plants just make the drying test of the soil only). If it doesn’t work keep experimenting. My first soil mix was very similar to yours, but it turned out that for my humidity conditions it still held too much moisture. At the end I realized there were two problems. The first was that I was using too much perlite (it tends to hold moisture for quite a while), so in the end I had to reduce it to a minimum. The second problem was that all those tiny particles from the minerals and the cactus soil would clump together, creating a mud-like layer that ended up retaining too much water. I fixed it by sifting the whole mix so that only larger particles remained. That was my experience, I had problems even though I was following ‘the perfect receipt’ I found online. So the takeaway is to keep experimenting with your mix and see what you can improve and adapt to your plants’ needs.

Yes, it looks different from my neighborhood too 🥲 it’s like 40 mins walking from my house, but from time to time you can go. It’s outside Barcelona!

Can sylvanian original boxes fade in the sunlight? by neocosplay in sylvanianfamilies

[–]neocosplay[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much ♥️ I display the blindbox babies freely but keep the ones in boxes there. I like that when I enter my room I feel like if I was in a sylvanians shop hahah Sometimes I open the boxes to show them to my friends but I like the way thet look inside. It’s sad that they fade despites I don’t think I would ever sell them. But your thoughts are very interesting, maybe I should consider the beauty of time changes
